Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. "Kingdom Hearts II": Which Organization member's name is misspelled in a Secret Ansem Report?

Answer: Xigbar

Xigbar's original name was Braig. In the North American version of "Kingdom Hearts II", a Secret Ansem Report misspells his name "Bleig". A similar mistake was done with Lexaeus, spelling his name "Eleus" instead of "Aeleus".
2. "Birth By Sleep": Who is the only Disney character from a direct-to-video sequel to appear in this prequel?

Answer: Experiment 221

Experiment 221 debuted in the sequel to "Lilo and Stitch", "Stitch! the Movie". This was never released in theaters but instead went directly to DVD. Sparky makes his "Kingdom Hearts" debut in "Birth By Sleep", where Dr. Jumba Jookiba unleashes him on Terra.
3. "Birth By Sleep": Terra is the only one of the three protagonists to aid a villain.

Answer: False

In Aqua's scenario when she visits Deep Space, she assists the Grand Councilwoman and Gantu in the capture of Dr. Jookiba and Experment 626. While Aqua was just doing what she thought was right, in the movie "Lilo and Stitch", the Grand Councilwoman and Gantu are seen as antagonists. Ventus also accidentally helps the Evil Queen when he gives her the poisoned apple that she dropped.
4. "Birth By Sleep": This prequel brings back a feature that was for the most part absent from "Kingdom Hearts II": optional boss battles. Which of the following is not required to unlock the first secret boss battle?

Answer: Complete all reports 100%

Spoilers alert! In order to unlock the first secret battle, complete all three scenarios and collect all Xehanort Reports. After doing that you will unlock the Last Episode. Complete the Last Episode and save, then load a save file where you can go to the Keyblade Graveyard.

In the area known as the Badlands, you will see a glowing red and blue emblem. Approach it and you will fight the Vanitas Remnant. Even with only less than a full bar of health, this is one tough opponent!
5. All "Kingdom Hearts" - The Radiant Garden Defense system shares a name with the weapon of which of the following Organization members?

Answer: Saix - Claymore

The town's defense system is named Claymore. Interesting fact: in "358/2 Days", all but two of Saix's claymores are named after things in astrology or astronomy, especially about the moon. The two that aren't are Crocea Mors, which means "yellow death", and Just Desserts, his joke weapon.
6. All "Kingdom Hearts": Which of the following was not said by Saix?

Answer: "Could you spare...a heart?"

This was actually said by Xemnas in the final battle of "Kingdom Hearts II". Right before the player takes control of Riku, Xemnas says this as he begins draining Sora's health.
7. All "Kingdom Hearts" - How many Organization members came from Radiant Garden/Hollow Bastion?

Answer: Eight

The members that come from Radiant Garden are the original six apprentices, Axel and Saix. Roxas wasn't originally from Radiant Garden, although he was "born" there when Sora became a Heartless.
8. "358/2 Days": What is the name of Luxord's joke weapon?

Answer: Finest Fantasy XIII

This "deck of cards" looks like a bunch of compact discs. The name is probably meant to be a play on words of one of Square Enix's games that was to be released a few months later, "Final Fantasy XIII".
9. "Kingdom Hearts": If one was to seal all Keyholes for the Disney worlds, which would have to be sealed last?

Answer: Olympus Coliseum

While Olympus Coliseum is a world that appears fairly early in the game (second Disney world to appear), it can only be sealed by using the Yellow Trinity on the stone in the Lobby. The Yellow Trinity ability can only be obtained after the completion of the Hercules Cup.

Unfortunately, the Hercules Cup is unlocked only after Neverland is sealed. Hollow Bastion is sealed last, but it is not a Disney world. The Hundred Acre Wood can be sealed at any time.
10. "Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories": What was originally intended to be the title of Chain of Memories?

Answer: "Kingdom Hearts: Lost Memories"

"Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories" was released onto the GBA on December 7, 2004. According to Tetsuya Nomura, he had originally planned to name the game "Kingdom Heart: Lost Memories" in reference to Sora, Donald, and Goofy losing their memories as they progress up the castle.
11. "358/2 Days": Statistically, who is the fastest Organization member to play as?

Answer: Xigbar

In an interview, Nomura stated that Xigbar was his favorite. Xigbar is number two in the Organization's ranks, known as The Freeshooter. He wields two ray guns.
12. "358/2 Days": Who is the only Organization member to have not written a single Secret Report? (requires outside info)

Answer: Roxas

While the names of the writers are not explicitly stated in the game, they are confirmed in the official strategy guide; however, by the tones of the writers, it can be inferred who wrote what. Roxas, instead of writing a Secret Report, uses his diary.
13. "Kingdom Hearts II": Which of the following famous "Final Fantasy" characters does not appear in "Kingdom Hearts II"?

Answer: Malboro

"Kingdom Hearts II" introduced something new to the series: special Gummi Ships! They're so hard to get and yet, they have absolutely no point aside from looking like our favorite characters. To get the Tonberry, Cait Sith, and Cactuar ships, achieve an S-Rank in Phantom Storm, Sunlight Storm, and Broken Highway, respectively.

These characters are from "Final Fantasy", another of Square Enix's popular franchises.
14. "Birth By Sleep Final Mix" - In the Realm of Darkness, which world does Aqua see has been taken over by darkness?

Answer: Castle of Dreams

Spoilers Alert! "Birth By Sleep Final Mix" includes a second secret ending on top of "Blank Points". This "Secret Episode" is the first secret ending in the "Kingdom Hearts" series to be playable. As Aqua trudges her way through the Realm of Darkness, she fights off Heartless, battles a vicious monster of darkness, and tries to find her way home.

As she makes her way, she looks up and tragically sees a familiar castle in the Realm of Darkness. Overcome by sadness and regret, Aqua understands that in the ten years she has been trying to return home, the worlds have faced a new threat, one born of pure darkness.
15. All "Kingdom Hearts" - Who was the first organization member to speak with Sora?

Answer: Xemnas

In "Chain of Memories", the first member to speak to Sora while uncloaked was Axel. Even before that at the crossroads, Marluxia is first to speak with him, warning him of what was to come. In "Kingdom Hearts II", Xigbar is the first member to have an actual conversation with Sora at the Bailey. Xemnas actually has a conversation with Sora in Hollow Bastion during the events of "Kingdom Hearts Final Mix". Most people don't know this because "Kingdom Hearts Final Mix" was only released in Japan.
