Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. In the first "Tekken" game, was Michelle Chang the youngest character you could play as?

Answer: No

Did I trick you? While Michelle is the youngest human in the first "Tekken" game, she isn't the youngest fighter. The youngest is Jack, who is a mere three years old!

In case you are interested, the oldest fighter in the game is Wang Jinrei, who is 82.
2. For how long was "Tekken 2" the number one arcade game in North America?

Answer: 24 weeks

"Tekken 2" is the sequel to the first "Tekken" game. It has 23 characters (or 25 if you count Angel and Alex as separate characters from Devil and Roger), many new features which have become standards in fighting games (like Survival, Team Battle and Practice) and it introduced the command list into the series, allowing you to figure out a certain characters moves.
3. "Tekken 3" has less characters than "Tekken 2". NOTE: This refers only to the arcade version of "Tekken 3".

Answer: True

The reason that the answer is true is because in the original arcade version of "Tekken 3", there were 19 playable characters, which is less than "Tekken 2's" roster, and since this question refers to the arcade version of "Tekken 3", it is therefore true.
The Playstation release of the game introduced two completely new characters, Dr. Bosconovitch and Gon, and it also made Anna Williams into her own character (she was an alternate costume for Nina in the arcade version with all of Nina's moves).
4. How many characters from past "Tekken" games did not appear in "Tekken Tag Tournament" in any form?

Answer: Five

Again, you might think "Why are there so many characters missing?" Well, you might have thought that the King and Kuma that appeared in the first two "Tekken" games are the same characters as the King and Kuma that appeared in "Tekken 3". However, they are different characters, but since they are so similar in their fighting style, the older King and Kuma didn't appear in "Tekken Tag Tournament". Marshall Law and the first Jack robot also didn't show up, again because of extremely similar fighting styles to other characters (Forrest Law and Jack-2).

The other character who didn't appear was Gon. Dr Bosconovitch wasn't playable, but he did make a cameo appearance in the "Tekken Bowl" mode.
5. In Jin's story mode on "Tekken 4", before you fight Kazuya, a cutscene will proceed. The words constantly being said are: "Give in to the anger"! "Hate me"! "---- me"! What is the missing word?

Answer: Curse

These odd words, coupled with his fathers demand for him to come out of his unconsciousness, force Jin back into his senses. After he gets up, he attacks Kazuya and knocks him unconscious, and then almost kills Heihachi, but a vision of his mother prevents him from doing so, and he flies away.
6. In "Tekken 3", there were ten characters in the starting roster: Xiaoyu, Yoshimitsu, Nina, Law, Hwoarang, Eddy, Paul, King, Lei and Jin. Which two characters were cut out of "Tekken Advance's" character roster and which two hidden characters replaced them?

Answer: Eddy and Lei/Heihachi and Gun Jack

"Tekken Advance" has the smallest character roster in the series so far, with only ten characters. The final boss of the game, and the only unlockable character, is Heihachi Mishima, who was also the final boss for "Tekken 1" and "Tekken 4".
7. In "Tekken 5", which of these features doesn't exist?

Answer: The ability to play a minigame involving Heihachi

The "minigame" that I was talking about involved Jin, not Heihachi, and it was called "Devil Within".
The Theatre option was introduced in "Tekken 3", while the other two options were new additions to the series.
8. In "Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection", how many characters are playable that weren't playable in "Tekken 5"? NOTE: This refers to the downloadable Playstation 3 version of the game.

Answer: Four

You could play as two completely new characters, Lili and Sergei Dragunov, as well as a returning character, Armor King and also Jinpachi Mishima, who, outside of Gameshark, wasn't playable in any form on "Tekken 5". However, Jinpachi was only playable in the downloadable Playstation 3 version of "Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection", which is why I specifically referred to this version.
9. In "Tekken 6", how many playable characters are there? NOTE: This refers to the arcade version.

Answer: 39

Having the same amount of playable characters as "Tekken Tag Tournament", "Tekken 6" introduces six new characters, but only four of them are playable. The other two characters are NANCY-MIS47J, who is a bonus boss who you can fight before Jin Kazama, and Azazel, who is the final boss of the game.
10. During 1997, an anime movie loosely based off of the first two "Tekken" games was released. What is the official name for this movie?

Answer: "Tekken: The Motion Picture"

The main character of this movie was Kazuya Mishima, who was the protagonist of the first "Tekken" game. In this movie, because of his father throwing him into a ravine at a very young age, he plans to kill his father in the upcoming King of Iron Fist Tournament.
