Axel doesn't want Roxas to leave the Organization, knowing that it would result in his death. Roxas doesn't think that it'll matter if he leaves, due to the fact that no one will care. Axel says, "That's not true! I would..." It doesn't appear that Roxas heard the last part. If he did, perhaps he would have stayed?

Answer: Flattered

Axel says this before starting a fight with Roxas in "Kingdom Hearts II". This battle takes place in the basement of the Old Mansion in Twilight Town. Roxas finally remembers who Axel is to him. When he lets Axel know, he says this line.

Answer: Xion

Axel went to get Roxas in "Kingdom Hearts II". However, in "358/2 Days", he is sent to capture Xion after she runs away. He takes her in front of Roxas, who was obviously upset by seeing his best friends fight against one another in Twilight Town. Axel says to Xion, "Go on! You just keep running! But I'll always be there to bring you back!"

Answer: To take over Organization XIII

Axel and Saïx joined Organization XIII together and were planning on taking over. In order to do so, Axel helped Saïx get to the top by eliminating Vexen and Zexion. Saïx reminds Axel of these plans in "358/2 Days".

Axel goes to get Kairi from Destiny Islands, but she runs away from him and into a dark portal. He follows her to Twilight Town, where she has landed in The Usual Spot. Hayner, Pence, and Olette try to stop him, but they fly right through him. Before he dies, Axel tells Sora to apologize to Kairi for him.

Answer: Like he had a heart

Axel reveals this to Sora before he dies in "Kingdom Hearts II". He begins to say that Sora makes him feel the same way, but he stops to tell Sora where to find Kairi and open a corridor of darkness for him to get to The World That Never Was.

Answer: The Japanese version has flames consume him

The flames that consumed Axel were removed from the North American version. Axel's death is not the only death to change over different versions of a game. Vexen's death is another one that changes from the Game Boy Advance version of "Chain of Memories" (where he is stabbed by Axel's chakrams) to the Playstation 2 version of the game (where Axel snaps his fingers and makes him explode).

Answer: He is connected to Sora's heart

The data version of Naminé tells this to King Mickey and the data version of Sora in the data version of Castle Oblivion. She says that Axel is still connected to Sora's heart, even if he is gone.

Answer: Goodbye

Axel says this to Vexen before snapping his fingers, making Vexen explode and be burned away. Sora looks on horrifyingly as this happens. This event occurs in the "Twilight Town" level of Castle Oblivion.

This is revealed in "Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days". When Roxas and Xion ask him about his past, he only gives them a short answer that doesn't really mean anything. Axel then quickly tries to change the subject.

Answer: Eternal Flames

Axel uses two chakrams called "Eternal Flames" as his main weapon. There are eight spikes on the chakrams, which is Axel's Organization XIII number. Sora's Bond of Flame keyblade looks like these chakrams.

Answer: Pizza

Axel's joke weapons come from equipping casual gear (2). They are two slices of pizza, each with a slice missing. The name of these weapons is, appropriately, "Pizza Cut".

Answer: Assassin

Sorcerers are under Xemnas' control, nobody controls dusks, and claymores belong to Saïx. Assassin Nobodies hide in the ground, then rise to attack. His control of them is appropriate because he is referred to as Organization XIII's assassin.

Answer: Make him into a Heartless

Axel wanted to turn Sora into a Heartless in order to get Roxas back. When a person becomes a Heartless, a Nobody is created. Since Roxas is Sora's Nobody, Sora becoming a Heartless would bring him back.

Answer: Popsicle stick

Roxas leaves Axel a Popsicle stick that says "WINNER" on it. This came from a sea salt ice cream bar. Anyone who gets a stick that says "WINNER" gets a free sea salt ice cream bar. Roxas wanted to win three; one for Axel, one for Xion, and one for himself.
