Answer: Seven or Eight

The game is intended to have eight levels. Some versions only contain seven by excluding the sixth level (the spider level).

Answer: Dunric

Dunric's ring is found in the first level. If you give it to him, he provides you with some spells. Either way, he does not survive being tortured.
Dunric reveals the major plot twist in the game's storyline.

Answer: Explosive Heat

Magnetic Hands and Sonic Protection are needed in the final battle.
Levitate is used to travel through the long spider-infested hallway in level 6.

Answer: Norlac

The Norlac guards the Sluice Gate. It's your job to lure it away, giving the goblins time to open the gate, flushing the Norlac out of the water system.

Answer: Alcohol

In the sixth level, opening the treasure chest proves to be fatal, as your character is swarmed by small spiders.
Pouring alcohol on the chest kills them, allowing you to claim the contents.

Answer: Spores

In the second level, you can defeat the Goblin King by planting spores in the soft dirt within his chamber, and fleeing to save you own life.
When revisiting, you find him dying, and he asks you for some water. Your choice will affect the rest of the game.

Answer: Flame Jets

Flying over flame jets will incinerate your character, along with the carpet.
Fireballs only damage you slightly.
The Giant Worm can't attack you as long as you remain on the carpet.
You can't encounter enemies while hovering either, and goblins can't pull of a one-hit KO.

Answer: Fireballs

Mordamir first attacks with a Lightning spell multiple times. Then, he attacks with a Sonic spell, then follows up with more Lightning attacks. He finishes off his pattern by levitating a skeleton, and tossing it at you.

Answer: Shades

Shades hide in the second to last room in the 1st level. They are invisible unless you light a torch on the wall with a fireball. Also, they are invisible in battle, making them difficult to defeat. Your best bet is to light the torch and just stay out of their way.

Answer: Conversation

Trolls don't talk much, they just like to battle.
The Troll Bombs can temporarily paralyze trolls, keeping them in one spot.
The Troll Ritual Knife is used to declare a fight to the death between two trolls, and throwing it on the ground will cause two nearby trolls to fight one another, rather than you.
The Muscle Potion will increase your strength, allowing you to dispatch the enemy more quickly.

Answer: Ana's Ring

Although fireballs mostly just help you avoid battles, they are necessary in the fifth level to kill the birds and retrieve the door key.
Spores are necessary in the second level to defeat the Goblin King. Water is necessary in the second level, since not giving it to the dying Goblin King will result in his revenge in the following level.
Ana's ring is an optional item which can be given to Ana to obtain a clue regarding the solution to the fourth level.

Answer: Danger Room

Stepping carelessly in the Danger Room will result in your character being devoured by a giant worm. The instructions for the Sensor clearly describe the room as the "Danger Room".

Answer: Protean Ring

The Protean ring allows your character to appear as a goblin. It is found in the third level. Ana's Ring and Dunric's Ring do not trigger any supernatural abilities, and there is no "Change Form" spell.

Answer: Magnetic Hands

The final action needed to complete the game is to pry the Amulet from Mordamir's hands using the "Magnetic Hands" spell. This allows the dragon to roast him, completing your quest.

Answer: It destroys the dragon but at the cost of the reader

The amulet was designed to destroy the dragon, but requires so much power that reading the inscription instantly destroys any individual. This proves to be an important plot point near the end of the game.
