Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. How much does it cost to buy an ice cream from a 'Slush Queen Ice Cream Counter'?

Answer: $10

Sure, you may not get to choose your flavor, cone, or topping, but the 'Slush Queen Ice Cream Counter' contains a real refreshing treat. When you place this item Downtown, you not only get great treats, but someone will automatically be hired to dispense the ice cream.

The object can only be used by adults ('sorry kids'), and it has a hunger rating of 3. The object costs $3,444 to place in your Downtown lot.
2. When was 'The Bunda' designed?

Answer: 1990

'The Bunda' is a very unique chair built by Gruppo Blum in 1990. With a comfort value of 8, this chair isn't only a suitable piece of furniture, it's a suitable chiropractic tool. The contours of the chair reform the body so that you get the perfect seat every time you sit down. Sure, the chair costs $924, but why not splurge a little for such an abstract object?
3. One new seating idea in this expansion is the dining booth. One is called the 'Bel-air Dining Booth'; what is the other called?

Answer: Plesario Dining Booth

The 'Pleasario Dining Booth' is a beautiful piece of craftsmanship. For only $828, you can seat more than five people at one table without having to worry about chairs which may clutter the dining room! With a comfort rating of 6 and a room value of 1, the 'Plesario' is much better than the 'Bel-air' booth which has no room value and a comfort rating of 5.

However, the 'Bel-air Dining Booth' only costs $699. Unlike most Downtown items, dining booths can also be placed inside your own homes. Plus, you won't need to worry about extra seating. Affordable booth seats can be purchased separately.
4. What can be found on a '"Toy With Me" Toy Display'?

Answer: Teddy bears

The '"Toy With Me" Toy Display' can only be placed Downtown since it's used in shops. On this display, you can either browse or buy two things: Teddy bears or copies of "The Sims". The teddy bears cost $200 while "The Sims" only costs $150. Sure, you could always spring for the larger 'Kastle O'Toys by Magical Mystery' display, but this smaller, more compact version will fit on any table.

The 'Kastle of Toys' costs $3,696, but the '"Toy With Me" Toy Display' is only $2,415.
5. Is the MassPro Newsstand for use by adults only?

Answer: Yes

The 'MassPro Newsstand' can only be placed and used downtown, but it will provide your Sims with hours upon hours of reading entertainment. You can either browse or buy magazines such as "Whoonoo!" ($6), "Livin' Large" ($5), "The Avarix" ($6), "Victor's Digest" ($3), and "MAXSIMUM" ($7). Sure, your Sims won't gain any skills from these books, but they're such a great read! It costs $979 to place one of these in your shop.
6. Which of these is the most expensive decorative object from the "Hot Date" expansion?

Answer: "IMA Irascible" Replica Model

The '"IMA Irascible" Replica Model' is a scale model of a ship placed into a glass case which you can hang on your empty wall. This piece was created by Paddy Barrett III, and although it's not the most expensive decorative object in this expansion, the '"IMA Irascible" Replica Model' has a room value of 9. Sure, the item takes up two units of wall space, but don't let that stop you from buying it.

There's bigger things out there.
7. The 'Niagara Love Tub' can only be used by adults.

Answer: True

The 'Niagara Love Tub' is one of those trademark "Hot Date" items like the heart bed. Although the 'Niagara Love Tub' can only be placed at your home, that doesn't mean your Sims can't have a fun date! This heart-shaped hot tub can be used by many people for a group activity or your Sim can just sit in it and relax. With a comfort rating of 5, hygiene rating of 3, and fun value of 3, the object's $7,999 price is a bit high, but for that swinging Sim bachelor, it should be just right.
8. How much does the 'Manilla 1000 Marine Aquarium' cost?

Answer: $3,999

Bah! Who needs that tiny aquarium downtown when you can use the top-of-the-line 'Manilla 1000 Marine Aquarium'? Sure, the price may seem huge, but is it really that big when we're talking about a huge aquarium filled with exotic fish? The room value of 6 speaks for itself; this aquarium is a great investment whether it be for your restaurant or your boutique! The aquarium takes up three units of space, but it looks great anywhere.
9. How many different cash registers are in this expansion?

Answer: Two

The first cash register you can purchase is the 'BS-PA4 Cash Register', and sure, it may look generic, but it's cheap, and it fits anywhere. The other register, the 'Antique Cash Register' is much more expensive, but it's older and much classier. Both registers go on tables and they both hire new employees.

The 'BS-PA4 Cash Register' is $120 while the 'Antique Cash Register' is $310. The only other difference is that the 'Antique Cash Register' has a room value of 1.
10. What is the room value of a 'Victorian Flower Urn'?

Answer: 3

This simple flower urn only costs $250, and while it may be one of the most expensive plants in this expansion, it looks great outside the expensive clothing boutiques downtown. Although this urn can only be placed on the ground, a new feature of this expansion is the hanging plant which you can attach to a hook on the walls. These range from $57 to $180.
