Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What is the first enemy you encounter?

Answer: Satyrs

Right off the bat, you'll need to fight. You enter a village and right away you encounter a man needing help. His poor horse is caught in a field filled with evil satyrs! You will earn experience points by killing the satyrs. There is also a wild boar to fight in the field. The first part of the game is a large mix of different types of satyrs.
2. You hear a pleasant "ting" when you down an enemy. What does this mean?

Answer: They've dropped a piece of a charm/relic

It's a good thing when you hear a light "ting" after you kill an enemy. It means there's a small charm or relic shard waiting to be picked up. The color is a brown/tan and you'll need either three or five to make a complete charm. Completed charms and relics can be used to enhance armor, weapons, rings, etc.
3. How is your health and energy restored?

Answer: Bottles of potions

As the hero, your health and energy will slowly restore themselves as time passes. However, they grow slowly and in battles, you'll definitely need to have some other type of restoration. Luckily, your hero can drink health and energy potions to provide quick boosts. Several seconds must pass before you can drink another of the same type. You can buy potions from merchants in towns. Enemies also tend to drop them from time to time.
4. What can attribute points go to?

Answer: Health, energy, intelligence, strength, dexterity

When you level up, you get two attribute points, which can go to a number of different things. Health and energy obviously represent your current maximum health and energy. Intelligence helps level up your elemental damage and is best for players who prefer to use staffs. Strength raises your physical damage and is best suited for masteries like Warrior. Dexterity is important because it helps increase your defensive AND offensive abilities. Speed can be increased using rings/necklaces/etc. that you can find throughout the game.
5. Which of the following colored items would typically be the strongest?

Answer: Blue

Dropped items or items found in various chests will all have different strengths. Gray items, for example, are broken and can't be sold for regular prices. White items are plain, regular things that can be equipped. If you find a yellow item, it is magical and will be more powerful. Green items are even more powerful and can even be enhanced by charms or relics. Next up are blue objects, which are called epic items.

They usually have specific names and grant some excellent bonuses. Purple items are the most powerful, but are quite rare in any level of difficulty besides Legendary.
6. Despite a three-headed beast being on the cover of the US Version of the game, you never fight one.

Answer: False

The three-headed beast is called Cerberus, and you must defeat it in the Tower of Judgement. It spits acid and will use all three of its heads to attack you! Spirits are not being judged in the Underworld and Cerberus is one of the reasons why. When you defeat him, you can then meet the three judges of the Underworld.
7. Some classes allow you to have pets. Some stay until they die, and some are only for a short period. This question deals with the pets that fight with you until they die. Which mastery grants you the most pets?

Answer: Nature

While some classes do allow some pets (like Spirit: if you put enough skill points into this mastery, you can summon a Liche King), Nature is the best mastery for pets. If you're advanced enough, you will be able to summon four pets to help you: three wolves and one Sylvan nymph. The wolves maul their opponents and your nymph will use her bow.
8. In the middle of a battle, you suddenly hear a loud gong. What does this mean?

Answer: You're very low on health

When your health reaches a critical low, the game will warn you with the sound of a loud gong. It's a good idea to take a health potion and/or run away to regain health. If you had the Nature mastery, you could also use the "regrowth" skill to restore lost health.
9. You don't have to be at a certain level to face the final boss.

Answer: True

Players can recommend you be at certain levels for particular areas of the game. But there isn't any set level you must reach in order to advance in the game. However, the armor and jewelry you find will all have specific level requirements in order to use them, as well as strength/intelligence/dexterity requirements. The higher level you are when you face bosses, the better.
10. What is one thing you DON'T get when you level up?

Answer: Another portal location

You get experience points with each villain you defeat in the game. As time passes, your experience grows and you gain levels. With each increased level, you get 3 skill points and two attribute points. Not only that, your health and energy levels are completely restored, even if you're in the middle of a fight. Portal locations are only unlocked when you reach new areas and activate the purple portals.
11. There's a chance to find something extremely rare after you defeat Hades. What is it called?

Answer: The Overlord

The "Overlord" is a key and the only time you can find it in the entire game is after defeating Hades. And even then, it's rare to actually find it. You can use this unique key all the way back in Rhodes, in the sandy, beachy area. It's called the Secret Passage that will house several tough fights. Hades' treasure is a separate side quest you can do, but you don't need to defeat him to get it!
12. Before facing off against the final boss, you get a surprise battle. Who must you fight right when you enter Hades' Palace?

Answer: Typhon

When you finally meet up with Odysseus, he blows a hole into the entrance to your final boss. Right after you enter, however, you get quite a surprise. A surprise in the form of a dead Typhon! He is a fallen Titan that you killed at the end of the original game. This version is skeletal and protects the Underworld.
13. What happens when you die?

Answer: A tombstone is left where you fell

One good thing about the game is that you don't drop your items when you die; they stay with you. But you WILL lose some experience points. After you wake from death, you start out at the most recent save fountain, wherever that may be. Enemies you already killed remain dead. And best of all, a tombstone has been left where you fell. Click on the tombstone and you will get back some of the experience points you lost! Dying is an inevitable part of this game.
14. Who is Godsbane?

Answer: You are!

At the end of the game, you fight Hades, an Olympian. At the end of the original game, you fought Typhon, a Titan. So you are then destined to be called "Godsbane" because you killed a Titan AND an Olympian. Never mind the Telkines and the large number of larger bosses like Charon and Cerberus you killed before getting there! By the time you finish the game, odds are you will have also killed thousands of monsters.
15. What is unique about the fight against Hades?

Answer: He has multiple forms

Hades is the final and, naturally, hardest boss in the game. He is the Ruler of the Underworld and will throw many powerful attacks at you. He's so hard, in fact, you don't even fight one version of him. The first form is human-like but is very tall.

After you damage him, his second version appears, and this one is skinny and has a large, tentacle-like arm. You can kill this form, but you're still not done. His third and final form is his "spirit" form and is large, ghostly, and skeletal.
