1. Let's say you decide to stroll out the front gates of the safe and strong Stormwind City. Where would you be?

Answer: Elwynn Forest

The lush green landscape filled with wolves, bears, and the occasional gnoll, is known as Elwynn Forest. This forest also contains the small village of Goldshire, and the Darkmoon Faire when it comes to town.
2. If you were to exit out the front of Ironforge city, and walk south, you would hit a small town called Kharanos. If you keep strolling south of that, you'll go through a big tunnel and end up where all dwarves start their journey. Where are you?

Answer: Coldridge Valley

Basically, this place is filled with many lower level quests to get new characters started. The little valley where dwarves start out when you create one, is known as Coldridge Valley.

Answer: Zangarmarsh

You could also head west from Hellfire, if you were tired of hunting hellboar. An area that is mostly full of bugs and mushrooms, walking north will put you right in the Zangarmarsh.

Answer: Silithus

The area you're in is home to the raid instance called Ahn'Qiraj. The giant crater you travel through is the Un'Goro Crater, and the next area, filled with scorpions and giant wasps, is Silithus.
5. You are now in the Eastern Plaguelands. Obviously you want to leave, and you decide to do so, by running northbound past Stratholme, into what area?

Answer: Ghostlands

Home to the raid instance Zul' Aman, and mostly low level creatures, the Ghostlands sits directly north of the Eastern Plaguelands. The easiest way to get to the Ghostlands would be to start a blood elf character, which begin in Eversong Woods, and walk south. Next map you come across will be the Ghostlands.
6. You're in the Horde city of Orgrimmar. You walk out the front gates, and find yourself in what area?

Answer: Durotar

Walking out of Orgrimmar will put you right at the zeppelin location in northern Durotar. Just east of The Barrens, Durotar is a desolate landscape of sand and rock, and the occasional scorpion.
7. There's two ways out of Felwood. You can head south into Ashenvale. Or, you can head north, and run through a large tunnel filled with furbolgs. What area is on the East exit of that tunnel?

Answer: Winterspring

Be careful heading through that tunnel too. For many people, they are strolling through hostile territory. An area covered mostly in snow and ice, containing the Gadgetzan-like town of Everlook, on the other side of that tunnel is the area known as Winterspring. The North exit will take you into Moonglade.
8. Let's say you've had your fill of Dire Maul, located in the area called Feralas. You then want to head to the Feathermoon Stronghold for repairs. Which direction will you need to travel to get there?

Answer: West

Although the road is rather curved and hilly, Feathermoon Stronghold sits directly west of Dire Maul, on an island off the coast. When you hit the coast you can take a long swim to the island or wait for the boat, which should be arriving shortly.

Answer: Loch Modan

The water flowing down the falls is from the giant lake in Loch Modan. You can get a view from the top by heading to the Stonewrought Dam in northern Loch Modan and looking down.

Answer: Undercity

Undercity is located within Tirisfal Glades. Filled with green sewage, and mostly Undead characters Undercity can be quite an intimidating place for the Alliance.

Sholazar Basin is rich in both Saronite and Titanium ore. It is also home to such rough places as The Savage Thicket and The Avalanche.

Answer: The Blasted Lands

The area containing Nethergarde Keep, as well as The Tainted Scar, is also the area containing The Dark Portal. This area is known as The Blasted Lands, and is a main thoroughfare for players level 58 and higher, traveling to and from Outland.

Answer: Burning Steppes

The Burning Steppes is the location for the second entrance to Blackrock Mountain. The Steppes are a fiery place rich in Thorium and Dark Iron ore.

Answer: Dragonblight

Passing such locales as the small walrus town of Kaskala, and the dangerous Temple City of En'Kilah, it's best to stick to the path going east. Just east of the tundra is the home to instances such as Azjol Nerub, and the famous Naxxramas... this area is better known as Dragonblight.
15. What area sits in between Tanaris and Thousand Needles?

Answer: Shimmering Flats

Containing mostly white crocodiles, the highlight of the Shimmering Flats is the Mirage Raceway right in the center. This area contains no flight paths, and is therefore overlooked a lot of the time.
