Answer: False

Philmont Scout Ranch located in Cimarron, New Mexico remains Boy Scouts of America's most popular high adventure base. While most people that attend Philmont take a week long trek through the back country of the Sierra Nevada ranges, an adult or youth may attend the Philmont Training Center, where hiking is not the primary goal. If you are going a trek in the back country of Philmont, you will hike more than 35 miles.

Answer: False

The Order of the Arrow, is Boy Scouts of America's National Honor Society. Members are elected from their peers, and then complete an ordeal in order to become a member. The lodge numbering system of lodges was dropped in the last few years, as it was not needed. Lodges are referred to the lodge name, and use the council number.

Answer: Pinewood Derby

The Pinewood Derby started in 1953, where a Cub and an adult create a small wooden car from a seven inch long piece of pine wood. Cars are cut out, sanded, decorated, and then raced down a 32 foot track. The Pinewood Derby was featured in a movie that was released a couple years ago named "Down and Derby". Answer: Beekeeping

Beekeeping was one of several less commonly earned merit badges dropped in 1995. From 1911 to 1995, about 65,000 Beekeeping merit badges were earned, far less than most other merit badges.
