Question 1 of 10
1. Ten years after J F Kennedy's death, the claim of mysterious deaths of people connected to either the assassination or the Warren Commission first became popular among the general public through which movie? Hint

Question 2 of 10

To address this obvious problem, they decided Lee was murdered for being interviewed for which very early conspiracy theory book and documentary? Hint

Question 4 of 10

Question 5 of 10
5. Another victim of the conspiracy is Rose Cheramie. As the story goes, she was travelling to Dallas with either Italians or Cubans, and knew President Kennedy was going to be assassinated. Despite bringing the (implied) assassins to Dallas, how long did Rose live after the assassination? Hint

Question 6 of 10
6. Captain Michael Groves died from a heart attack on December 3, 1963. He, too, appears in the list of those who died "mysteriously" from a sudden heart attack. How, exactly, was this Army captain connected to the assassination or investigation? Hint

Question 7 of 10
7. Edward Benavides was murdered in February, 1964 to intimidate his brother (a witness to the murder of Officer J. D. Tippit) into saying he couldn't identify the murderer when he testified in April of that year. Again, how would a little research shed light on this mysterious death? Hint

Question 8 of 10
8. Who, in 1967, was being questioned by Jim Garrison in connection with the Kennedy assassination and was found dead in his apartment, along with two typewritten suicide letters? Hint

Question 9 of 10
9. Sam Giancana, head of the Chicago Mafia, was murdered shortly before appearing before the Church Committee in 1966. What was the committee investigating that required a mob boss's testimony? Hint

Question 10 of 10
10. John Roselli, another member of the Chicago Mafia, was called to testify before the Senate about a conspiracy to kill President Kennedy. A few months after appearing, he was found dead. What claim was made after the discovery of his body? Hint

Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Ten years after J F Kennedy's death, the claim of mysterious deaths of people connected to either the assassination or the Warren Commission first became popular among the general public through which movie?

Answer: "Executive Action"

Before 1973's "Executive Action", the idea that many people died mysteriously wasn't well known. However, like most related conspiracy theories, the later movie "JFK" gave it new life among a country that was daring to believe the official government story.
2. Dorothy Kilgallen is arguably the favorite of most conspiracy theorists. She supposedly interviewed Jack Ruby in prison and had proof the assassination was a conspiracy. What is the problem with this supposed connection to Ruby?

Answer: She never interviewed him

There is no record of her ever speaking to Jack Ruby beyond a brief exchange during his trial, which had been arranged by Ruby's lawyer.
3. The death of Lee Bowers is considered mysterious by conspiracy believers, but his death occurred well after talking to Warren Commission investigators. To address this obvious problem, they decided Lee was murdered for being interviewed for which very early conspiracy theory book and documentary?

Answer: "Rush to Judgement"

On April 2, 1964, Bowers gave his testimony to an assistant lawyer for the Warren Commission. He didn't die until two and a half years later, on August 9, 1966. According to Penn Jones, Jr., he was murdered for his interview for "Rush to Judgement". It remains the prevailing "reason" to this day.
4. Gary Underhill was supposedly a CIA agent who knew who the conspirators were. His death was ruled a suicide, but it has been claimed that the scene was staged. However, what is the major problem with his ties to the assassination that makes the circumstances of his death irrelevant?

Answer: He was never a CIA agent

Underhill did in fact have contact with the CIA's predecessor (the Office of Strategic Services, or OSS), since during World War II he worked in the Military Intelligence Service. However, he hadn't had contact with them in nearly 10 years. In addition, his statements as related by conspiracy theorists make him seem quite paranoid - which probably lead to his suicide.
5. Another victim of the conspiracy is Rose Cheramie. As the story goes, she was travelling to Dallas with either Italians or Cubans, and knew President Kennedy was going to be assassinated. Despite bringing the (implied) assassins to Dallas, how long did Rose live after the assassination?

Answer: Two years

Rose told several people that Kennedy would be assassinated, among them a Louisiana police officer who contacted the Dallas police chief after the assassination to tell him what Rose had said.
6. Captain Michael Groves died from a heart attack on December 3, 1963. He, too, appears in the list of those who died "mysteriously" from a sudden heart attack. How, exactly, was this Army captain connected to the assassination or investigation?

Answer: He commanded the Honor Guard during Kennedy's funeral

Dying so quickly after the assassination probably sparks interest in almost anybody. At least until you find out his roll was nothing more than the Honor Guard commander. No shocking connections here, unless you count his inclusion in the conspiracy theories.
7. Edward Benavides was murdered in February, 1964 to intimidate his brother (a witness to the murder of Officer J. D. Tippit) into saying he couldn't identify the murderer when he testified in April of that year. Again, how would a little research shed light on this mysterious death?

Answer: Edward was killed on February 15, 1965

It has been claimed that Edward's death was a case of misidentification and the target was supposed to be his brother, Domingo. However, it turns out Edward was killed in a bar fight a year after his brother testified. In addition, the man who killed him later confessed.
8. Who, in 1967, was being questioned by Jim Garrison in connection with the Kennedy assassination and was found dead in his apartment, along with two typewritten suicide letters?

Answer: David Ferrie

Ferrie apparently knew Oswald from their days in the Civil Air Patrol. It was alleged that Ferrie, along with the CIA, set up Oswald to be the fall-guy for their assassination plot. A week after the allegations were made public, Ferrie committed suicide. Jim Garrison initially said he believed it was suicide as well, but later insisted Ferrie was murdered.
9. Sam Giancana, head of the Chicago Mafia, was murdered shortly before appearing before the Church Committee in 1966. What was the committee investigating that required a mob boss's testimony?

Answer: CIA-Mafia conspiracy to assassinate Kennedy

His death just before appearing before the Church Committee may seem suspicious, but after spending more than 10 years running the Chicago Mob, the most likely explanation is one of his enemies got revenge. No proof has been presented to implicate Giancana in any assassination conspiracy.
10. John Roselli, another member of the Chicago Mafia, was called to testify before the Senate about a conspiracy to kill President Kennedy. A few months after appearing, he was found dead. What claim was made after the discovery of his body?

Answer: He was working with Castro to kill Kennedy

Roselli was working for the CIA in a plot to kill Fidel Castro. After his death, it was claimed that he switched sides, and plotted to kill President Kennedy at Castro's request. Unfortunately, no specific reason has more than circumstantial evidence supporting (and disproving) it. Until concrete proof is found, the reason Roselli was murdered is anyone's guess - making this murder another weak link in conspiracy theories.
