43 The unique lyric "To boldly clap in a room full of nothing" are the opening lyrics to what song?
Answer: We'll Go Too

Gord Downie has often used a dark sense of humour with his lyrics and while performing live. "We'll Go Too" is an example of this humour. The song relates to the feeling of being confined or trapped. It gives the listener a perspective of hopelessness, almost as though there is no where for the song narrator to go.

"To boldly clap in a room full of nothing
you never know, it could be one of those
poignant evenings

Museum's locked and it's long since past
closing you cannot know, you cannot not know (you cannot know, you cannot not know)
what you're knowing (what you're knowing)

What can you do, they've all gone
and we'll go too."

45 Name That Song ~ Title Clue: The lupus indicative of trouble.
Answer: The Dire Wolf

Lupus: Wolf
Indicative of trouble: Dire

This song was inspired by Wallace Stevens' "Sea Surface Full of Clouds". The structure of the song is set the same as the original poem, and even some of the words are mirrored:

Stevens: "In that November off Tehuantepec..."
Downie: "In that September off Isle Aux Morts"
(Isle Aux Morts is French and translates to "Island of the Dead," a Newfoundland island known for its treacherous waters.)*

Dire wolves are actually ancient precursors to today's wolves*.

48 Another Tragically Hip songs that includes a city/town name in the lyrics. Which song opens with these lines? "It was our third time in New York It was your fourth time in New York"
Answer: Escape is at Hand for the Travellin' Man

This is one of my favourite all time songs. "The Hip" as they are familiarly known to fans, write songs that not only tell a story but originate from experiences that are sometimes relatable, sometimes sad but always interesting. This song is about the experiences bands have as they tour and end up meeting up with other bands as they travel around. There is one singer that really made an impression on the band, and that's a guy named Jim Ellison, from the band Material Issue who really hit it off with the band. Ellison was found dead in his garage in 1996, having died from carbon dioxide poisoning and after that, The Hip lead singer Gord Downie would dedicate this song to him when they performed it live.
