Subject: Appropriate edit to old quiz?

Posted by: foruthreskide

I just logged myself back into my account after 14 years (woah) of inactivity.

I noticed I wrote a quiz way back in the day that's gotten a lot of play. I would love to add some kind of note to it along these lines:

"I wrote this quiz when I was 11-12 years old using books that were lying around. Now, so many years later (I wrote this quiz more than half my lifetime ago!), I'm so happy to see so how many others have engaged with this little, virtual monument to my childhood nerdiness."

Would it be appropriate to reach out to an editor and ask them to add that into the special instructions section, or do those sorts of personal notes not really belong on quizzes? For reference, the quiz is here: link https://www.funtrivia.com/trivia-quiz/History/Ancient-Egyptian-Civilization-320657.html

Thanks!

Slight correction to the above: I got myself logged in with the help of gtho4, who offered very quick assistance in response to my email :)

First of all, welcome back! You will find things have changed a lot over the years, so I hope you enjoy the new experiences.

There is a section at the end of the quiz for concluding remarks, where that would be totally acceptable. (It hasn't always been there, so you may not have seen it!) The fastest way to get this done would be to play your quiz and, when you have finished it, submit a correction note asking for the change, and including the exact text you would like inserted. You will get a message in your inbox about it, which you can just mark as fixed, and wait for an editor to sort it next time they are checking the corrections area.

I recommend this because it means whichever of the category editors gets there first will do it, and they will have immediate access to the template. If you send a message to a specific editor, they may or may not have time to do anything quickly - but that is also an option.
