Thank you for devising a system without user input, communication with team leaders, or paid members. You made New Coke look like a good idea. Your process sucked, your arrogance is worse. I for one will be leaving the board as a result and urge other players to do so as well. The board leaders are bleeping morons. Reply #281. Aug 30 23, 9:41 PM |

I'm a little surprised by this feedback so immediately after the launch and with the assumption that this was done without any feedback or input. As this thread we're on here came up on August 13th, I'm not sure what the expectation was for further advance warning. If it's any help, literally none of FunTrivia's ongoing games have changed; none of its quizzes, crosswords, challenges, and tournaments have been affected; none of its pages have been shifted around or removed. The only thing that's been done is the addition of more user customizability, additional rewards, and in the coming months, more activities that we hope will encourage players and creators to engage with some of what we believe the site has to offer based on the past twenty-three years of user input. We're very open to criticism and feedback because we want to ensure that anything we add to the site suits the majority of our existing users and encourages new ones to hang out and grow the community. If you have anywhere to point so that we can start determining what you don't like (other than 'the whole thing'), then that can be a start. :) In the meantime, hopefully you can enjoy what FunTrivia already had to offer-- it's all literally still there, fully-accessible, and behaving the way it did before this rolled out with no real need to be changed. I'm so very happy that some of our Dearly Departed Friends like nizard and HurricaneBill have had their Profiles Updated to the New System. It's a nice touch! Perhaps one day we could honour them with a Special Badge "Trivia Heaven". We will all be joining them one day, so let's go out with a Final Badge! Reply #284. Aug 31 23, 3:11 AM |

Well, I certainly won't be leaving as a result of the changes. Thank you to everyone for implementing the changes. Now, all I have to do is get my thick head around understanding them, lol! Reply #285. Aug 31 23, 5:25 AM |

Thanks for replying to my posting yesterday LadyNym. I can see I didn't make clear which points I was asking about so I'm posting an amended request. It would be useful to have a list of how many FunTrivia points, gained for playing quizzes and games, are needed to gain a prestige point. I can only see how many I need for the next prestige point now. An odd number of FunTrivia points are needed for a prestige point now whereas before a level upgrade happened when the next round million FT points (or multiples thereof) was reached. Even if some conversion factor was used between the two systems, it would seem more logical to make changes happen at least at a round number of FT points. Reply #287. Aug 31 23, 6:00 AM |

misstified, the new formula for points to prestige is a smooth curve - each prestige takes 18 points more than the previous one. We didn't want a table with arbitrary jumps - it's also just too many entries given that 3000 prestige from points is not impossible. (it takes 81 million FT points) So if you have 100 points prestige, it's approximately 1800 from one to next. If you have 500, it's roughly 9000. And in your case (around the 1500 mark), you're looking at about 27,000 per. Reply #288. Aug 31 23, 6:17 AM |

Just discovered a potential bug. I was playing a quiz I had already played in the past and scored 10/10 on. When I played it again today, I also got 10/10. After I played, I saw 2 contradictory messages: First - Perk: you currently earn 19 pts per correct answer. FunTrivia points scored: 190 Second - You had played this quiz in the past, so let's determine your replay points... Your best score to date on this quiz was 10/10 You can't improve your score, so no improvement points can be earned. You still, however, earn 5 points each for the 10 correct questions: 50 points. I hadn't checked my overall point total before I played so I don't know which is the actual score I received, but eliminating the other one would make things less confusing. Reply #296. Andy, the 'points scored' are for correct answers the first time you play a quiz plus any increase in correct answers. The five points per correct answer is what you get on replays of perfect scores. It's been this way but I admit the '19 points' bit is somewhat confusing until you get used to seeing it there. Reply #298. Aug 31 23, 7:01 PM |
