What small and stupid thing has recently gotten your goat?
Mine would be spell checks that never give you the right suggestion for what you want even though you only barely misspelled something.

Upstart, you've been to stage 12 before? I can re-teleport you there. There is a problem with the replays I can't really eliminate with way the backend works. I put BIG warnings in several places - but you probably never saw them if you replayed early. Reply #4201. Nov 07 23, 2:28 PM |

The Buzzy Bee is an annoyance all its own, but thinking you'll have an "easy" time with a category with ~only~ 21 quizzes in it, yet having to play 18 of them to find the right one is exasperating. I know a lot more about Greece now. Reply #4205. Nov 11 23, 12:34 PM |

I'm a member of the Bee's Knees team, so you'd think I'd like anything bee-related, but I absolutely loathe the Buzzy Bee scavenger hunt. Every time I've tried it, I've found it exasperating. If I get that as one of my Daily Challenges, I generally use a switch. Other people on my team seem to have the right temperament for the challenge. I'm not sure what that temperament is. @Upstart: ooh I feel you about the Ascension Quest! When I started it I got through the first 4 chapters no problem, and then the next 3 seemed to all be endless loops! Chapters 8-11 felt ridiculously simple, so I'm thinking I might've missed one or two (or ten) things as I'm now stuck fast in Chapter 12. I've come back to it, and ignored it, many times. Questions where the writer deliberately provides a two correct answers, misspelling one of them (e.g. in today's FTDuel - two of the answers were "Van Diemen's Land" and "Van Diemon's Land"). I saw the right answer, ticked it, then realised too late that there was an alternate spelling provided. Is it not enough to simply know the answer? If you get a question like that, please submit a CN saying that the question doesn't belong in a timed game and would an editor please consider removing it from the question pool. Otherwise the Quiz Editors have no way of tracing the question. Reply #4219. Dec 03 23, 1:26 PM |
