I just finished reading My Sisters Keeper. I didn't really enjoy the book alot. I watched the movie on sunday, I didn't like it at all. They left out so much of the story.

Gone With The Wind and The Godfather. I have a special childhood fondness for Summer of '42.

As for movies that got their inspiration from books, I'll take the Jason Bourne trilogy. However, those were completely different stories. For movies based and taken straight from the book, I'll take No Country For Old Men.

I very rarely like movies that came from books (as I tell my niece, the problem with them is they are based on someone else's interpretation of the book). My fabourite was probably "Picnic at Hanging Rock". (1975, Peter Weir production).

I enjoyed "Clan of the Cave Bear" by Jean Auel. The movie "Clan of the Cave Bear" was excellent. Daryl Hannah's performance as Ayla is what made the movie so good!
