Subject: Who the heck am I?

Posted by: jolana
Date: Jul 04 10

Following a very popular thread started by Gillimalta on 139 Class Board which ceased to exist I´ve decided to continue.

The rules are simple. I think I am someone and you ask some yes/no questions. The one who has the right guess is "it" and can continue.

So, who the heck am I?

Not Faraday.

Regarding a different scientific field....let's put it this way....I don't think this subject's activities would have included an apple falling on his head....LOL. This man had his discovery named after him

No, CC, as previously indicated this man was from the 19th century.

This man lived and died in the 19th century and was only 71 when he died.

He was not in movie business (like Daniel Boyle) , just a prolific writer of crime fiction and a few non-fiction books. Died this century, but not Colin Dexter.

Not Iain Banks.

Although your target wrote one book you might call science fiction, he really was a crime writer. And as I said he was English, but most of his most famous series is not set in England.

Sorry, neither.
The series I mentioned takes the plots further away (except one story which takes place in London) than Italy. Actually, when he started to write the series, the writer had never traveled that country before.
