Subject: Who the heck am I?

Posted by: jolana
Date: Jul 04 10

Following a very popular thread started by Gillimalta on 139 Class Board which ceased to exist I´ve decided to continue.

The rules are simple. I think I am someone and you ask some yes/no questions. The one who has the right guess is "it" and can continue.

So, who the heck am I?

I think they did some illustrated newspapers, but they are known for other printed products, one in particular.

Is this to do with US politics?

No, nothing to do with politics or independence. More practical!

That is not a bad guess, but none of them is Irish and the guys you are looking for didn't deal in dictionaries.

I'm out. Honestly don't have the time for questions that go for days.

My thoughts exactly Vee. It takes the fun out of the thread when obscure subjects are put forward, that is what killed the other similar threads. When this happens I bow out too and wait until something less difficult comes up. If subjects are too difficult members don't participate.

For me, difficult is what makes it interesting and I don't have time for questions that are boringly easy. The answer to this was Rand McNally, famous makers of road maps. Over and out!

Never heard of him! And incidentally you misled us as you inferred that we were looking for two people.

Sorry Mommakat - Rand McNally was two people - William Rand and Andrew McNally. Too obscure for me.

Meant to say obscure for me, but may be famous for Americans...

Speaking up for "difficult" subjects- I had not come across H.R.F. Keating until malama chose him as a subject. Thanks to this thread I have now read "A Perfect Murder", which was excellent, and I have a long list of books by Keating to look forward to. Result!
