Subject: What are You Listening to Right Now?

My team has a post where, every once and a while, we pop in and say what song is currently playing on our ipod/mp3/radio/etc. Whatever is on right then, is what you post. :-)

Sometimes a little over-produced for my tastes but they did squeeze out some catchy songs. I've read criticism of them (probably Rolling Stone mag) that joked that ELO based their career on "I Am the Walrus". Obviously not true but you could do a lot worse as far as Beatles songs go.

I've heard their big hits on the radio and always thought they were ridiculously catchy. I got the "Eldorado" album off of itunes and was just blown away. A wonderful concept album with the perfect blend of classical, pop, and progressive elements. I don't take Rolling Stone or most music magazines very seriously but comparing ELO to "I am the Walrus" I consider a compliment.

I was listening to my Pandora, and this wonderful song came across. Have to please you with it. Best example of this tune was in the movie "Easy Rider".

I love this band and this song! Hadn't heard it in a long while. Glad I got to hear it today. Makes a lot of sense now after all this time.

"Do the Evolution" by Pearl Jam. Eddie Vedder's politics are atrocious but what a great songwriter.

I almost forgot about this funny, smart song by the great David Bowie. Love this little ditty from '67.
