Subject: The Official Share a Story Thread

Posted by: Terry
Date: Aug 24 12

If you are directed here by a FunTrivia challenge, please reply ONLY in this thread for the challenge. Only posts made here will count towards your challenge!

[ And no, you will be DIRECTED to come here. Posting here without having an already issued challenge will not result in anything! Still, you can post a story if you feel like it anyway ;) ]

If sent here, the title says it all. Your challenge is to share a story.

Tell us, briefly, about something funny or interesting that has happened to you recently. Or something sad. Or something scary. Or something exciting. Something funny or strange you saw?

If nothing funny or interesting or scary or exciting has happened, then write us a poem. Or a song. Or tell us a joke.

Or just tell us what you did today. Did all you accomplish was to brush your teeth? Did you fail to even do that? Do share...

Feeling grumpy today? Tell us what irritates you. What TV show can't you stand? What TV show are you watching that you like?

So go ahead, we're listening. The only rules are that you be polite and follow our very simple rules up above.

Tell us a story...

Got back into daily walks when spring arrived and pretty pleased with myself averaging 4-5 km a day which I thought I would never be able to do again. Use a walker so it is a bit more work but it sure beats sitting on my backside.

When visitors arrived my black teen cat got out. A pouring rain arrived and we were all worried. We gathered neighbors, we put on our rain jackets, we combed the area, we called and called, soaking wet, increasingly scared she was hungry, wet and lost to us. Eaten! Hit by a car! Exhausted, we decided to eat dinner, put on dry clothes and then start again. As I'm headed into the house, I look up.

Yep. There she was. Dry, licking her paws, comfy in a large tree just outside the door, watching all the goings-on.

Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
lots of flooding in Texas,
With more rain due.

The new Bingo game has revitalized my interest in single question writing. I'm over halfway to filling up a card, after already doing one line, turning that card in for the badge, then getting another card, doing two lines on that one, then turning THAT one in for another badge. I encourage anyone to go get themselves a card and have fun coming up with questions!

an entire state, Rio Grande do Sul, under water and mud. No roads, no airports, no electricity, no running water. But with hundreds of volunteers with boats, jet skis looking for and removing people from risk areas

Whoever thought being semi-retired would bring about lots of appointments. Chiropractor appointments, physiotherapy appointments and of course increase Doctor appointments. This to will pass.
