Subject: What Song am I?

Posted by: Mariamir
Date: Nov 29 12

Following the same rules as the other "What ____ am I" threads, the point of this thread is that you ask yes or no questions until someone guesses the correct song. That same person then chooses the next song.

Fire away!

Very good Upstart, I didn't make too hard though. I don't like things to drag out too long.
Paper Lace also recorded the original version of Billy Don't Be A Hero but barely charted in the US.
Here's a rare live clip.

Thanks for making it easy Martin.
Mine is a song from a 21st century movie.

Skyfall, Adele?

Was the song made specifically FOR the film in question?

Neither of those and not so well known by a long way.
Yes, it was written for the film and it has the same name as the film.

I'll say Valentines Day, hoping it was smug by an ensemble...

After 2006?

More than 5 years earlier than "Valentine's Day"
It was a comedy film as well.
In the two large casts I can't spot anyone in common.

Glee, on the other hand, does have a cast member in common with the movie this song is from.

"Sweet Home Alabama" from the film of that name?

No - that song was written some time before the film.

My song was from a film a year after "Sweet Home Alabama"

There was another song in the movie that was nominated for an "Academy Award".

This song won a Grammy.
