It's AFL finals time again! Tonight is the Qualifying final between the Eagles & the Hawks. My tip: Hawks Reply #22. Sep 11 15, 12:51 AM |

At quarter time it's too tight to call, but wishful thinking has me tipping the Eagles. I'm hoping for a derby grand final this year, where I predict the Dockers will win but will be going for WC. My tip is Freo will win their first premiership this year. Reply #23. Sep 11 15, 4:57 AM |

If I read the Google report correctly ED West Coast Eagles have downed Hawthorn by a good margin. It could now well end up a Derby Grand Final. Be interesting to see the results of that if it comes off. Reply #25. Sep 11 15, 8:59 AM |

Eagles won by 32 points. Hawks will play either the Crows or the Bulldogs in the semi-finals next week (depending on who wins). Reply #26. Sep 11 15, 8:42 PM |

I haven't kept up with the past furore over Prelim Finals venues. Can both be in Perth or does one have to be at the 'G? If so (and presuming Freo beat the Swans today), then this seems very unfair for the Eagles.... Reply #27. Sep 11 15, 9:43 PM |

I think the title will be heading West this year. My tip would be either Freo or West Coast. Reply #28. Sep 11 15, 11:01 PM |

As I understand it, no matter who wins the Grand final has to be played in Melbourne. Reply #29. Sep 11 15, 11:55 PM |

Freo Dockers overcame a late revival by Sydney Swans to take the qualifying final this (Saturday) afternoon. Tonight Western Bulldogs meet Adelaide Crows with the losers being eliminated the tomorrow Richmond Tigers will battle North Melbourne Kangaroos, with the loser of that match also eliminated. Things are shaping for a possible Grand Final between the Dockers and the Eagles. That will cause a lot of heartache in Victoria. ???? ?? ?? Reply #30. Sep 12 15, 3:02 AM |

Thrilling game just played, well done Adelaide for getting on top. Tipping (and hoping) for a Richmond victory tomorrow against North Melbourne. Reply #31. Sep 12 15, 6:36 AM |

Sad to say the Tigers are out of the finals. Kangaroos will play the Swans in Sydney next week. Reply #32. Sep 13 15, 5:35 AM |

This makes things really interesting. Hawthorn have quite a good record against Fremantle, might end up as a West Coast v Hawthorn grand final. North Melbourne v Sydney playing right now, at quarter time seems like we're in for a good one. THINK I'm tipping Sydney but honestly it could go either way. Reply #34. Sep 19 15, 3:54 AM |

That also makes the Kangaroos the first team in history to make the prelims from 8th position. Interesting. Last game for Rhyce Shaw too, and more than likely Adam Goodes, both excellent players. Next week tipping West Coast and... I'm going to go against my head and say Fremantle if only because I want a derby grand final. Though I do think Fremantle have a chance, I think history is on Hawthorn's side. Reply #37. Sep 19 15, 7:04 AM |

Don't get too cosy, remember the old saying - "It's not over till the fat lady sings"....LOL....I don't particularly follow football, nor any team in particular, but it would be nice for a West Australian team to win for a change. Reply #39. Sep 25 15, 8:03 AM |

Grand Final week has officially begun, but before we get to Saturday's game between the Hawks and the Eagles, we've got tomorrow night's Brownlow Medal presentation. Reply #40. Sep 26 15, 11:20 PM |
