Kudos to the powers that be for coming up with another enjoyable game that makes F.T an even more attractive place to "hang".

I know they have the 10 wins in a day badge but unfortunately they don't have a for two ties in one day. Otherwise I would have just won it!

It hurts to score 986 and then lose by 4 pts., but those unexpected victories in unknown subjects really make up for it. I'm loving the uncertainties of this game. :)

Its a lot like knockout in that regard, where you can on rare occasions win with a score under 1200, or lose with a score over 1900. At least with this one if you have a bad outing, the wait for attempted redemption is not nearly so long

I think the new game is great! One thing to remember is that if a game is hard for you, it will most likely be tough for your opponent as well. The hardest thing for me is balancing speed and accuracy. Some people are just so fast! Speed isn't my strongest point, and when I try to go too fast, I sometimes click on the wrong answer.

I really like the unpredictability of this new game, I've won in some really odd topics, including TV shows that I've never watched! Rather irritatingly, I lost by 1 point in one of the games today - it's not so much the loss that I mind, it's the near but yet so far from a tie!

I also like the themes for the featured topic of the day just a really cool illustration of how diverse the coverage of topics is here that Terry can look at the calendar and say "Hmmm Anniversary of Three Mile Island. Do we have something for that ... yep Nuclear Accidents"

Not a standalone quiz mind you, but enough quizzes for a dedicated subcategory large eniugh to support a mash.

I can't tell you how many times I've had an idea for a quiz to write and thought, "ok this one has to be mine...NO ONE cares about that crap!" only to find multiple quizzes..sometimes onto two pages worth on it

I won a game by two points yesterday. Besides having sympathy for my competitor because I know how annoying it is to lose by such a small margin, I felt bad that I wasn't just a little bit slower so we both could have won the tie badge.

Not a good day for me yesterday in Duel. Only won one game out of five. My scores were all good, mostly over 900, but my opponents kept beating me by a few points, even in my strongest topic, Chemistry. Hard to believe I could lose with a 978. Even if you know the answer before the answers start to be revealed, if the correct answer is the fourth one, the clock will read 98.

I got it at 99 on a fourth answer once! The timing is really tricky but there is a short period where it will accept your click on the blank spot where #4 will be before it is actually showing and possibly before the clock starts. I have even managed a few 100s on a regular mash but somehow whether psychological or something actually different in the mechanics, it is even harder on the green screens of duel. I am relctant to double click it (or my initial crazed response...of a quintuple click ;)...because on this crappy interface that tends to jam it up, and the game gets frozen and lost (i can back out and restart but that brings the penalty)

I can see the logic in having a mash on nuclear disasters on the anniversary of 3 Mile Island - less sure on the connection to the accompanying picture of what appears to be Bodiam Castle.

Yeah, the castle does look out of place.

Since Nuclear Disasters is a specialized history mash, the castle represents the Specialized History subcategory.

I thought it might be a hint as to where I should head in case of a nuclear meltdown - but then I looked closely and realised that that particular castle is half-way from my house to the nearest nuclear power station so maybe not such a good idea.

I have just won the 10 wins in a day badgelet and I am very excited. I wish I could share with you some wine and chocolate. :D

I too, feel that it is a great game and have already won a tie badgelet. As for them being hard, well some of them are and some of them I know nothing about but I barge in regardless and on several occasions it has proven great as apparently my opponent knew less than me.....LOL

Beat the FTbot three (out of 4) times yesterday. I don't know why that feels so good, but it does. :)

Nearly came undone on trying to be too hasty - went for burrow instead of bungalow! Still won though.

Fate was unkind to me on Italy though, matched me up with an Italian player:(

On balance, fate has been kind today - I've won on Star Wars Character (never seen a film) Reba (never listened to her music) and Cy Young (am rubbish at any sport).
