I'd think it'd be easiest to have the Team Heroes game mirror the Expert game rotation's non-specialized category list and include all categories except for Brain Teasers in the rotation. It'd be hard to filter out certain questions (those that have the word not, those that have a correct response less than 50% and those that have more than xxx words) but it could help. Reply #21. Last time I checked Heroes cycles through the core categories included in the same order repeatedly? So religion does not crop up any more than any other category because it’s a defined rotation. I used to have it written down somewhere. I like that way of doing it because then we cannot get any core category more than twice a month (because I think there were about 15 categories included). As I’ve said on forums I think at the very least you should add sports to this rotation and Triviaballer’s idea above about matching it to the non-specific expert categories is a good one. Reply #22. Additionally. I have no hated categories. I like the idea of smaller groups of players having their weeks to shine. So I’d rather put up with categories that I’m no good at and find obscure in order to receive some obscure ones that I am good at. Reply #23. Sep 09 23, 5:07 AM |

I like the idea of non-specific Questions within each Category. BrainTeasers excluded, if we can't find enough. The FT Bot is one of the Best Authors. Her/His/It's Questions start Easier and progress to more Difficult. Let's pay some Overtime, and get the Bot to help remedy Team Heroes. Reply #24. Sep 09 23, 5:33 AM |

Apologies, I meant non-specialised expert topics. As in the ones that aren’t listed as specialised when you do change the future. Basically I like it that Heroes is essentially the Team version of who’s the expert and feel that that’s how it should play out. Personally I’d have ALL Expert topics in Heroes circulation but I know I’m the minority in that desire. Reply #25. Sep 09 23, 5:45 AM |

I like that idea nasty_liar. 'Who's The Expert" certainly has more variety than Team Heroes, as it stands at the moment, which I find quite boring. I also wouldn't mind if Team Heroes was expanded to 20 Questions, which gives a more Easier, Medium and Difficult feel. I would ask the Bot, but he wants Public Holiday Rates! Reply #26. Yes, I love that very specialized topics come up in Heroes, and wish it was even more so. Reply #27. Sep 09 23, 6:24 AM |

I don't hate any topics. I know I'm terrible at, for example, Role playing games. But one of my teammates excels at it and rarely gets to play that topic in any game on FunTrivia. If any religion is excluded from Heroes then *all* religions and religious topics should be excluded. Reply #28. Sep 09 23, 8:48 AM |

There are topics I don't like because I don't know much about them or am just not good at them but those topics will be good for other people. Always swings and roundabouts. I agree that colleges and universities is one I don't like. Reply #29. Sep 09 23, 10:52 AM |

Video Games. Awful. I have not played a single video game in the past 40+ years. Reply #30. Sep 11 23, 10:28 PM |

By some definitions, Funtrivia is a video game. So are things like online Scrabble and solitaire. Reply #31. Sep 12 23, 10:06 PM |

I have an idea….see what categories get the lowest scores on a daily basis, and replace those with more general categories. I also like that Wednesdays have a more specific category, maybe the lower scoring categories should be played on Wednesdays. Reply #33. Oct 17 23, 10:41 AM |

I disagree. The lowest scores tend to be in niche categories, which is one place people with real knowledge of the subject matter get their chance to shine. Categories where the average scores are high just go over common knowledge, mostly pop culture, which we already have too much of anyway, and furthermore, since many people in the high scoring categories know all 15 of the answers, they are just speed contests. We shouldn't be trying to eliminate any categories. I am in favor of leaving things as they are. Reply #34. Oct 17 23, 11:52 AM |

I see we've got U S coins and banknotes today and that's OK. It would be good to have coins and banknotes from other areas of the world another day soon. Reply #35. Oct 18 23, 6:23 AM |

I agree. There is nothing nicer than usually being toward the bottom of the list, and then getting something you actually know more than most people about. If it was all high scoring subjects, I'd never get a chance to shine. Reply #37. Oct 18 23, 4:41 PM |

colleges and universities ,not fancy of this topic ,but it does expand my knowledge when I keep playing and find myself advancing up the chain which gives a good feeling . Reply #39. Oct 19 23, 7:23 AM |

I absolutely detest quizzes on horror movies - demons, vampires, zombies and all that ghastly stuff. If I want to be scared out of my wits, I just watch the television news channels. Reply #40. Oct 19 23, 9:40 PM |
