Answer: George "Punch" Imlach

While all four coached the team, Imlach was first. He also served as the club's general manager.

Answer: Gilbert Pereault

The expansion Sabres won the top choice in the 1970 entry draft when the roulette wheel spun to number 11. They chose Perreault, who wore 11 in honor of the number. He was the first player in team history to wear that jersey number.

Meehan assisted on Jim Watson's goal on October 10, 1970.

Don Edwards and Bob Sauve shared the honor in 1980, Tom Barasso won it in 1984, and Dominik Hasek won it six times (1994, 1995, 1997, 1998, 1999, and 2001). Grant Fuhr won it in 1988 as a member of the Edmonton Oilers. Roger Crozier never won it.
9. Who scored the first overtime goal in team history?

Answer: Rene Robert

Robert scored at the 9:18 mark of the first overtime on April 10, 1973, to defeat the Montreal Canadiens 3-2 in game 5 of the first round series. Montreal won game six 4-2 to win the series.
10. Which goaltender recorded the first playoff shutout for the Sabres?

Answer: Bob Sauve

Sauve made 22 saves against the Vancouver Canucks on April 9, 1980. A week later Don Edwards made 17 saves against Chicago. Sauve ended up with four career playoff shutouts, which is second in team history only to Dominik Hasek. Desjardins and Barasso never had a playoff shutout for the Sabres.
