Mind Melt - Rules and Game Details

This game challenges your knowledge of the English language. Each quiz consists of 30 questions split into three sections: word definitions (10 qns), word opposites (10 qns), and word relationships (10 qns). In each set of questions you will need to match up each item on the right side of the screen with its corresponding match on the left.

Play a Game: Each day you may choose one of two game modes. The major differences are outlined below. Melting points are cumulative points that can be earned in this game. If you collect enough melting points over time you can complete some FunTrivia challenges.

• Play Untimed: Your game is not timed and you may take as long as you'd like to play. You will earn a constant number of Melting Points, but at most 45 for a perfect quiz. Players are not eligible for the speed badges on a day that this mode is played. (You will earn melting pts = 1.5 * questions correct, for a max of 45).
  
  
• Play Timed: You will earn between 1 and 100 Melting Points daily for playing, depending where you finish relative to other playersin your set.

Schedule: A new game starts daily and runs 24 hours. Resets midnight PT.

Difficulty level: Intermediate to Difficult

Tips: A fast way to answer questions is to click on one of the pull-down answer boxes and quickly TYPE the number of the answer you want. This saves having to use the little pull-down menus. Sometimes a word may match up with 2 or more in the other column. You need to think hard to match everything up so that the entire set fits best.

FunTrivia Points ('Award'): In addition to melting points which are used only in this game, you will earn a FunTrivia point bonus for your account. You will earn (Questions Correct * 6) [max 180] FunTrivia points under Untimed mode. You will earn (Time Adjusted Score / 12) [max approx 240] points under timed mode.
