Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. When the game starts, all the players are huddled together in what type of vehicle?

Answer: A jet

As the jet flies over the very large map, players (or teams of players) get to communicate their desired drop point and leap out of the jet down into the warzone. Each player is equipped with a parachute that will soften their landing. This parachute can be "cut" and "uncut" throughout the drop and the game.
2. In team games, what happens to a player when they lose all their armor and health?

Answer: They are "downed"

A "downed" player is as close to helpless as they come. The player has no weapons and can only move very slowly, crawling on the ground. In single player games, or "solos" the only way to get back up after being downed is by utilizing a "self-revive", which can be found or bought.

In team games, one can "self-revive" or wait for a teammate to help them. Once revived, a player is able to play the game normally again. If shot and killed while "downed" the player is dead.
3. Provided this place is still "open", where do players go after dying for the first time?

Answer: The gulag

The gulag is a small prison where all dead players are captured and held. The prisoners have to wait until they are paired with another prisoner, and they will fight to the death in a dark and creepy prison complex. The winner is given the opportunity to return to the game, while the loser must stay in prison until revived some other way.
4. As players explore, loot, and complete objectives, they will stumble across cash. Where can this money be used?

Answer: Buy Station

Buy Stations are scattered around the map and allow the player access to a multitude of items or perks that will help them or their team win the game. These include, but are not limited to: reconnaissance kill streaks, support air strikes, armor plates, weapons, and redeployment of dead teammates.
5. Getting around the map can be done by running, walking, parachuting, or using one of many support vehicles. Which of these support vehicles is *NOT* in the game?

Answer: Tank

Moving around in vehicles, especially as a team, can be both advantageous and risky. While you are able to reach targets faster and can evade enemies at a higher rate, the entire team is vulnerable to explosives, as launchers or bombs targeting the car will cause a explosion resulting in an immediate down for all occupants.

As the metagame developed, many players started equipping their vehicles with trophy systems in order to mitigate this issue.
6. Which contract provides the entire team with an injection of cash if they kill a particular enemy player?

Answer: Bounty

The "Bounty" chooses a random player that is within a certain distance of the player and highlights their general area for the contract challenger. The challenger and their team will get more intel on the exact location of their target victim as they get closer. Meanwhile, the victim will receive information on their current "threat level" as their wannabe assassin approaches them.

They can then choose to defend themselves or evade and escape.
7. As a particular "Battle Royale" plays out, the map gets progressively smaller. What substance infests the outer borders and forces players into a smaller area?

Answer: Poisonous Gas

When the game begins, the players are informed of where the gas will spread to first, eliminating a small portion of the outer borders of the map. As the game goes on, the map decreases in size until it is a small random circle where players must engaged in close quarters combat in order to win. Players can purchase or find gas masks which allow them extra time in the infested areas at no health penalty.
8. You can only win a team "Battle Royale" in "Call of Duty: Warzone" if the entire team is alive at the end of the match.

Answer: False

In fact, if only one player from the team is the last to survive, this is enough to win the game for the entire team. In three or four player team games, it is particularly difficult to reach the late game with an entire team of active players, let alone be the last 3 or 4 standing.
9. Players can customize their weapons and perks in the pre-game lobby. How does one get access to these customized classes in-game?

Answer: Loadout Drop

A timed Loadout Drop for the entire team happens twice during the course of the game, the first in the early to mid game and the second in the late game. However, players can purchase a Loadout Drop for the entire team at buy stations. For most advanced teams, this is the preferred method of unlocking their classes because the Drop can be bought faster than the timed drop arrives, and there is a lower risk of other teams having their own drops in the vicinity. Any player that is killed returns without their loadout intact and must find a new one or pick up their own discarded weapons.
10. The first version of the game was released on March 10, 2020 with which large 150-player map?

Answer: Verdansk

Verdansk will always be remembered fondly by "Call of Duty: Warzone" players as their very first map. The map is also featured in the 2019 campaign release of "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare". It is the capital of the fictional country of "Kastovia" an ex-Soviet union state that was controlled by the Germans in World War II.
