Question 6 of 10
6. Speaking of Mule Kick, the song played periodically by the vending machine sings of a legendary hero, interpreted to be a particularly strong man or cowboy with the positive traits of that of a strong packmule. The figure's name is mentioned in the following line:

"Across the plains, across the sky, he flew so fast he dodged the rain....

He waaaaasssss _______, he waaaasssss _______"

What is this figure's name?

Answer: (Two Words)
Question 7 of 10
7. In "World at War", when the Colt M1911 was Pack-a-Punched, the player received an M1911 which now fired explosive rounds. However, with a slightly newer-aged model of the M1911 appearing in "Black Ops", it predictably gained a new PaPed version of itself. What was the main difference in the M1911 between these two games? Hint

Question 8 of 10
8. New to the map was a different type of trap, which could be found in the theater and right outside the dressing room, in the Speed Cola room. What trap was this? Hint

Question 9 of 10
9. New to Zombies, joining the Ray Gun, we had a new Wonder Weapon which would go down as one of, if not the greatest Wonder Weapon of all time. What was this? Hint

Question 10 of 10
10. On the top floor of the theater, five photos can be found on the wall, hung up and laminated. Four of them are of the Ultimis crew, but the fifth one has a silhouette, which is not filled in. It would take the community over ten years to definitively discover who this silhouette depicted, but this information was confirmed with the release of the Classified map in "Black Ops 4." Who was being depicted in this photo? Hint

Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Why/how is the Ultimis crew at this abandoned German Theater?

Answer: A Wunderwaffe DG2 blast overloaded a 115 teleporter and caused it to send them there

Canonically and off camera, Richtofen and the Ultimis crew attempt to use one of the teleporters at the Der Reise facility to travel to the Moon. Things go wrong when Richtofen tries to load the teleporter with sufficient 115 energy to achieve this, and the teleporter ends up sending the crew almost 20 years into the future, at a Group 935 Kino at the abandoned German theater. Fortunately, there is still a 115 teleporter here, so Richtofen could, in theory, try again to achieve his original goal.
2. In the "Black Ops" version, the classic Nacht Der Untoten Round Changing music is used to indicate a round being over. In "Black Ops 3", a Round Change tune is siphoned from a "Black Ops 2" map and remastered to fit the remade Kino Der Toten map. What map from "Black Ops 2" is used in this capacity?

Answer: Buried

For as odd as it seems, this round changing tune actually seems to fit the map quite well. Only the 'round changing' theme is from Buried; the 'round begin' theme is exclusive to Kino Der Toten of "Black Ops 3", offering a remixed version of the traditional theme to make it hollower and more high pitched, while also having a faint echoing of a reel playing in the background.
3. Normal zombies and Hellhounds are a part of the danger the Ultimis crew faces off against, but a new deadly force joins the fight in this map. What new creature joins the legions of undead?

Answer: Nova-6 Crawlers

Nova-6 Crawlers are similar to normal crawlers, but have a few differences. First, in "Black Ops" they didn't hit quite as hard as normal zombies, killing you in three hits (five if you had Juggernog) as opposed to normal zombies and normal crawlers, which killed in two and four, respectively. To compensate for this, if a player killed a Nova-6 Crawler with a bullet weapon, after a brief few seconds, the corpse would explode. If the player was too close, they would take tons of damage and be disoriented, unable to sprint or take any steep turns. Additionally, whatever character the player was playing as would loudly complain of how bad the Nova-6 Crawler smelt.
4. Elena Siegman and Kevin Sherwood United once again to craft "115", a simple but incredibly catchy tune that could be played once on this map by finding three objects across the map. What were these objects?

Answer: Meteorites

These meteorites are pretty simple to find. One of them can be found as soon as the game begins in the spawn room, in a small display case next to the right side staircase. The other two are easy to find as well. One is found behind the MP5K wallbuy (KN44 in "Black Ops 3"), off to the left on a chair in the dressing room. Finally, the third one can be found past the outdoor gates, into the tech room near the M8A1 wallbuy in "Black Ops 3" on the second row of a small, metal shelf. Upon acquiring all three, this song will begin to play. You'll know you've picked them up because your character, whoever you are playing, will announce that they have "found a rock", and once you've found the third one, they'll announce that they've found something 'neat' before this song will play.
5. It wasn't in the game when Kino Der Toten originally came out, but in a future update in "Black Ops 1", a new perk was introduced called Mule Kick, which would be inserted into this map, in the second room to the right of spawn room. What did Mule Kick do?

Answer: Allow the player to carry a third weapon

Mule Kick would go on to be one of the most heavily debated perks, in terms of risk/reward and overall worth, in Zombies. It cost 4000 points which, at the time, by far made it the most expensive perk in the game. For a particularly skilled player, this price was usually worth it, as such a player would likely know how to avoid going down too much. For any less of a skilled player, though, there were plenty of pros and cons, which I'd like to highlight below:

Pros-

Having a third weapon increases overall staying power, as the player has another weapon to fall back on if ammunition becomes a concern, or if the effectiveness of one of the first two weapons has been compromised due to being at a particularly high round.

Having a third weapon slot gives more strategic room for a player to prepare for multiple situations. One could have a shotgun for particularly close quarters play, a sniper rifle for more long distances play and a sub machine gun or assault rifle for mid ranged play. One could mix and match their strategy with more room for creativity with Mule Kick.

With other perks, such as Double Tap 1.0 not being particularly helpful, Mule Kick could be added at later rounds for lack of a reason to spend points on anything else. This pro would fade as more options presented themselves in later maps, but on Kino Der Toten in "Black Ops", this pro held up nicely.

Cons-

Investing tons of points into a third weapon, only to permanently lose said weapon upon going down is undesirable.

The second pro could be argued down, seeing as how a majority of Zombies is fought in close or mid ranged combat. Additionally, shotguns and sniper rifles in "Black Ops" were mostly very bad, which led to a lot of assault rifle and LMG usage anyway.

Other perks, such as Juggernog or Speed Cola, gave benefits which were more consistently used and affected the player at all times. The player can not wield two or three weapons at once, and Mule Kick didn't do anything aside from providing a third weapon to be stored, so it isn't as consistently or constantly useful as other options.
6. Speaking of Mule Kick, the song played periodically by the vending machine sings of a legendary hero, interpreted to be a particularly strong man or cowboy with the positive traits of that of a strong packmule. The figure's name is mentioned in the following line: "Across the plains, across the sky, he flew so fast he dodged the rain.... He waaaaasssss _______, he waaaasssss _______" What is this figure's name?

Answer: El Burro

After reciting this small line with a brief body of more music and singing in between each recitation, a horn is loudly played in the background of a donkey braying, before a more western accented man cries out "El Burro!", concluding the song.

Answer: It was now dual wielded

It was mostly the same thing, only being dual wielded instead. While, on paper, this would seem to be a flat upgrade, in practice, losing the ability to aim down the sights restricted accuracy heavily, something which the older model relied on heavily to be effective.

It also had less ammunition than before. Having heavier firepower would've been nice, but a player who attempts to utilize this in all but extremely situational moments would be at risk of killing themselves with self inflicted splash damage coming off the explosions.

As a result, the M1911 got nerfed in this iteration of the game.
8. New to the map was a different type of trap, which could be found in the theater and right outside the dressing room, in the Speed Cola room. What trap was this?

Answer: Automated turret

The damage offered by the automated turret scaled with rounds, and it was a very effective killer. Unlike other traps, it could perform at a mid ranged level unlike traps like the Electro trap, which mandated zombies stepping directly into it to work.
9. New to Zombies, joining the Ray Gun, we had a new Wonder Weapon which would go down as one of, if not the greatest Wonder Weapon of all time. What was this?

Answer: Thunder Gun

The Thunder Gun was solid in Kino Der Toten, but in later versions of Zombies is when it would truly shine. In later editions, it was a guaranteed one shot kill on a wide arc of anything it hit, with no target limit. Theoretically, because the Zeus Cannon (PaPed version) has 28 shots, it could kill a maximum of 728 zombies before requiring a Max Ammo powerup.

The only criticism that could be had of it was its limited ammunition, but for an experienced player, capable of luring all the zombies into one, bunched up, spot, this was not an issue.

In "Black Ops 3", with the introduction of Gobblegum, specifically Alchemical Antithesis, the Thunder Gun and Zeus Cannon could be kept at high ammo virtually endlessly, and it became very easy to craft runs to Round 255 basing your strategy around Alchemical Antithesis and the Zeus Cannon.

Answer: Primis Nikolai

We find this out when we see a similar photo in Classified and listen to radio recordings confirming this connection. Little did we know during our "Black Ops" trek that this photo would go on to predict who the most important character in known universe would be! With Nikolai set to takeover as the Primis leader after the events of Blood of the Dead and Classified, only our Russian friend can lead the charge against Dr Monty, in a struggle to recover all of space and time from the perpetuating time cycle loop!
