Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which of these mountain attractions reaches a height of 199.5 feet?

Answer: Expedition Everest

The reason that they didn't raise it to 200 feet is because it would have to have flashing lights on top according to Florida law.
2. What ride replaced 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea in Fantasyland?

Answer: Ariel's Grotto

The ride was replaced when it broke down beyond repair. It was a shame since it was a very popular ride.
3. What was Disney's Hollywood Studios once called?

Answer: MGM Studios

The park used to feature a walk-in movie studio where you could watch, and even interact with movie production.
4. The Rock-N-Rollercoaster can accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour in how many seconds?

Answer: Three

It features this exhilarating feat of engineering at the beginning of the ride just as you leave the back alley. The technology was so advanced at the time of its construction that the US military came to investigate!
5. What was Epcot originally intended to be?

Answer: A city

Epcot is actually an acronym for Experimental Prototype Community Of Tomorrow. Disney's dream was to create a city looking forward into the future, testing out new technologies and ideas. Unfortunately, this never happened, but Disney does own a town called Celebration.
6. Which of these names is correct for the jolly western musical attraction in Frontierland, Magic Kingdom?

Answer: Country Bear Jamboree

This attraction is a fun audio-animatronic show with a happy bunch of bears! The ride has become so popular as to get its own spin-off Christmas special in Disneyland, and even its own movie!
7. Which of these lands contains the Haunted Mansion ride?

Answer: Liberty Square

Liberty Square also contains the Hall of Presidents and a steamboat ride around Tom Sawyer Island. It is designed to look like the old U.S.A. when it was just founded. It goes into quite a bit of detail, even using brown tarmac to represent sewage flowing down the street!
8. Which two parks does the monorail not run through?

Answer: Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom

You can get to the other parks by car or bus. Hollywood Studios is also connected via taxi boats which depart from Disney's Boardwalk.
9. Which of these is not currently an attraction in Epcot?

Answer: Horizons

Horizons was a dark ride which summarised the whole theme of future world: looking into the future. It featured three areas: a desert farming colony, an underwater city, and a giant space station.
10. What dinosaur are you looking for in the Dinosaur ride at Animal Kingdom?

Answer: Iguanadon

You encounter many different dinosaurs as well, including a sauropod called saltasaurus, a styracosaurus, and a carnotaurus, all looking to eat you!
