Mahogany is a shade of brown, although it can also be a shade of red. Wood from a mahogany tree is the source of the color's name. An example of a musical instrument that uses mahogany is a piano, although that is not to say all pianos are colored mahogany.

Taupe is a brown color that is both light and dark. It is also the French word for mole, which is where the color got its name. Nowadays, taupe refers to multiple shades of brown, and these shades can range from light brown to dark brown. The color that comes from taupe Crayola crayons is light whereas a European mole is dark taupe.
4. Midnight

Midnight is a dark shade of blue, which got its name based on its resemblance to the night sky. The blue found in the uniforms of the United States Army and Marines is midnight blue. However, the uniforms for the United States Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guards are a different shade of blue.
5. Navy

Navy is a shade of blue, which got its name from the color used in the uniforms for the British Royal Navy. Other navy uniforms are also navy blue; one such example is the United States Navy. In fact, navy blue can be so dark that some people believe navy is a shade of black!
6. Cobalt

Cobalt blue received its named after the element cobalt. Since cobalt can be dangerous, there can be warnings on products that contain cobalt blue as part of it product. However, something as simple as using a cobalt blue crayon would not be dangerous. Some Chinese porcelain is colored cobalt blue.
7. Ultramarine

Ultramarine is a dark shade of blue which received its name because it came to Asia by sea and not by land. A lot of dark blue in paintings is ultramarine; one example is Johannes Vermeer's "Girl with a Pearl Earring". Some animals like kingfishers are also ultramarine blue. Originally ultramarine was expensive, so only rich people, like royalty, would own clothing in that color.
8. Hunter

Answer: Green

Hunter is a shade of green which derives its name from people who hunt animals who wore a certain shade of green while hunting. This tradition has changed to other colors such as brown to better disguise the hunter from animals. Sometimes, bright colors are even used so that the hunter is not hidden from other hunters, just the animals they intend to hunt.

9. Forest

Answer: Green

Forest is a dark shade of green. People committed to preserving the forests and other environmental causes who use the color green often use forest green. Examples of forest green include green types of plants like ferns.
10. Kelly

Answer: Green

Kelly green gets its name from the name Kelly, which is a common surname in Ireland. That being said, in Ireland, it is often called Irish green. It was in America where the name Kelly green originated due to the multitude of Irish immigrants. When you're celebrating St. Patrick's Day, and you see green, then Kelly green is the official color, even if people do use other shades of green.
