Jackson thought one side of his body was heavier than the other. He held his hand in the air to even out his body weight.

Answer: Joshua L. Chamberlain

Chamberlain accepted the terms of surrender at Appomattox. He later served as Governor of Maine.

Reynolds was trying to rally his men saying, "For God's sake forward!" A sniper caught sight of Reynolds, aimed, then fired. The general jolted than fell forward, off his horse. He was dead before he hit the ground.

General Johnston carried a tin mug with him. When he decided his soldiers needed encouragement he rode up on his horse and waved the mug in the air, and his soldiers cheered. Then the gallant officer yelled out "Charge!" He couldn't charge with his men, for just then he was shot in the leg. He died minutes later from blood loss.
