Admiral Robert "Bobby" Jackson has appeared in most of the Jack Ryan novels. He went from a Commander in "Patriot Games" to a Rear Admiral on the Joint Chiefs of Staff in "Executive Orders". He unfortunately falls to an assassin's bullet just prior to "The Teeth of the Tiger".

Dennis Cooley aided and abbetted the ULF in their mission against the Royals in "Patriot Games"... but ultimately paid the price.
