1. Papa Bouba Diop is a Senegalese soccer player who is famous for scoring the first goal of the 2002 World Cup. Who was Senegal playing against?

Answer: France

The first goal of that World Cup was scored by Bouba Diop. It surprised everyone, as it also meant the first goal of the World Cup was scored by Senegal, which was playing for the first time in a World Cup, and against the reigning champion. (France had won the previous World Cup).

Bouba Diop has played in several English league teams, as well as in Greece and France.

The first holder of the presidency was Sedar Senghor, who started in 1960 (when Senegal became independent from France) and ended his term in 1980. Sall, who was elected on 2013, is also the first President to represent APR (Alliance For The Republic).

Evra was the team captain of France in the 2010 World Cup, an event in which France not only was eliminated quickly, but also saw a strike from the French squad. It resulted in Evra being suspended for five international games because of his conduct as team captain.
