"Pine Barrens" is a fan favorite in large part because of the banter between Paulie and Christopher while they were lost in the snow. The two were not even sure what happened to the Russian they brought there to bury - he got the better of them with a shovel and ran off, never to be seen again.

Christopher was thrilled to be watching Jon Favreau direct Janeane Garofalo and Sandra Bernhard, and even contributed a word to the dialogue (one not to be repeated here!). Later, Christopher talked to Favreau about his script, but Favreau was so freaked out by Christopher's drug-induced hyperactivity and firearm that he wanted nothing to do with him after that.

It was a shocking move to have Tony kill Christopher in the final season. He and Tony are in a major car accident, and Tony is overwhelmed by a feeling of anger and disappointment in Christopher: Christopher confessed he was driving under the influence, and Tony noted that had Christopher had his daughter with him in the car seat in the back seat, she would have been killed.

Instead of calling 911 immediately, Tony instead suffocates Christopher, though we don't know if would have died anyway. For many fans of Tony who had stuck with him through other murders and immoral acts, this was the final straw.
