Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. The first casualty in season 5 was a harmless waiter named Raoul, who insulted Paulie and Christopher. As the waiter went to leave, Christopher threw what at Raoul?

Answer: Brick

The brick hit the back of Raoul's head. After he collapsed and began having convulsions, Paulie and Chris were unsure of what to do. Paulie ended it and shot Raoul in the chest, killing him. He grabbed the money Chris used to pay for the dinner (over $1000) and ran off, Chris following. He was killed in the episode "Two Tonys".
2. The first two major deaths in season 5 were those of Jason Evanina and Lorraine Calluzzo. Joey "Peeps" Peparelli and Billy Leotardo killed Jason while Lorraine was in the shower, then the latter when she exited the bathroom. Who was Jason to Lorraine?

Answer: Lover

Lorraine was killed because she sided with "Little" Carmine Lupertazzi in the dispute of who would become the boss of the Lupertazzi Crime Family, after the death of Carmine Lupertazzi Sr., going against Johnny "Sack" Sacramoni's orders. Jason was killed only because he was present at the time of Lorraine's death. They were killed in the episode "All Happy Families..."
3. Next on the death clock is Joey "Peeps" Peparelli. His killer wanted revenge for the death of Lorraine Calluzzo, and shot Joey in his car while he was with a prostitute. Who killed him?

Answer: Tony Blundetto

Tony (also known simply as "Tony B") approached the car, seemingly to say hello. When Joey rolled down his window, Tony B opened fire, killing Joey and the prostitute, Heather. Joey's killing was unauthorized, putting Tony B in hot water. Joey and Heather were killed in the episode "Marco Polo".
4. Angelo Garepe was released from prison at the same time as Tony B. In fact, the two developed a good friendship while in prison. Naturally, Tony B was infuriated when he learned of Angelo's death at the hands of the mafia. Tony B again wanted revenge, so he killed whom?

Answer: Billy Leotardo

As Phil and his younger brother Billy were finishing a round of drinks, they went to their car. As Billy left the building, he turned to see Tony B walking down the sidewalk, wielding a revolver. Tony B emptied all the rounds, killing Billy and winging Phil. Tony B had killed another mobster without permission.

This incident would lead Phil to wanting Tony B murdered. Angelo and Billy were killed in the episode "The Test Dream".
5. Two characters, one major and one minor, were killed in the episode "Long Term Parking". One of them was Gilbert Nieves, who was confronted by Matush, a drug dealer. After a brief struggle, how was Gilbert killed?

Answer: Stabbed

Gilbert was a large man, but Matush and his friend overpowered him. Matush stabbed him multiple times in the chest and side, killing him.
6. The major character killed in "Long Term Parking" turned into and FBI informant earlier on. This character wanted sympathy, but was in return executed. Who was it?

Answer: Adriana La Cerva

Adriana confessed to Christopher that she was an informant, and said they could start a new life together in witness protection. Christopher agreed, but later chose the life of crime and told Tony Soprano. Tony had Silvio Dante drive Adriana into the forest, where he executed her.
7. The last person to be killed in season 5 was Tony B, for the unauthorized killings of both Billy Leotardo and Joey "Peeps" Peparelli. He was killed by Tony Soprano with a shot to the face, but what type of weapon was used?

Answer: Shotgun

Tony B was at his Uncle Pat's old farm, returning from buying groceries. As he was opening his front door, Tony Sopranos came from around the corner of the porch and fired one shot, hitting Tony B in the face. His body was left on the woodpile that it fell on. Tony B was killed in the episode "All Due Respect".
8. Tony B's death was a mercy-killing.

Answer: True

Phil Leotardo told Tony Soprano that he was planning on torturing Tony B for killing Billy Leotardo and Joey Peeps. Tony S, not wanting his cousin to suffer, killed Tony B himself.
9. Due to the many killings in season 5, the succession issue of the Lupertazzi Crime Family carried on into season 6. Eventually, Little Carmine Lupertazzi surrendered to Johnny Sack. What was his reason for doing this?

Answer: He didn't want anymore bloodshed

Little Carmine, although surrendering in Season 6, had enough of the violence due to the events of season 5. It took many deaths for the power struggle of the Lupertazzi Family to come to an end.
10. After Tony B's death, Phil Leotardo soon learned of it after his body was found. Phil approached Tony about it, infuriated. What did Tony do?

Answer: Told him off

Tony told off Phil, because he knew he did the right thing. Phil would not forget this, and remained somewhat hostile towards Tony for the rest of the series.
