Mulder explained that he thought the killer was a monster with a biological imperative to feed, but who knew he couldn't feed with impunity. Rob laughed and said, "I'm sorry, but this is like good cop... insane cop!"

Answer: cupcakes

She was discussing her love of Devil's Food cake, particularly with the white frosting, and how she'd made three dozen cupcakes for her kid's school event but restrained from consuming all of them.

Answer: meat

He told the group he had cravings and one of the members prompted him to elaborate, which he did: "I guess it's the taste I respond to the most... salty, juicy, kinda buttery. It seemed Rob was doing suicide by cop, running at Mulder knowing full well Mulder would kill him.

This was a perfect line to end the episode, as Rob's appeal was in his self-torture over his monstrous inclinations. He wanted so badly to be a good person, but, tragically, couldn't overcome his true nature.
