The American Revolution (War of Independence), War of 1812, US Civil War... and there are disputes as to whether the Mexican-American War or the French and Indian Wars (as well as other colonist-native disputes) are considered 'wars' at all. Additionally, to some extent it can be said that the Pacific war (WWII) was fought on US soil.

I'm listing major wars which were fought primarily on U.S. (A technical difference here between "American") soil, not ones in which the odd battle was, nor smaller ones such as King Philip's, nor such things as LBJ's "war on poverty."
I count 8, although perhaps you can get down to 4 based on what you choose for your definition of "war" and "fought on (entirely?) U.S. soil":
Revolutionary war
War of 1812
Civil War
Mexican American War
French and Indian War
World War II Pacific
King Philip's War 1675 - 1676
Queen Ann's War 1702 - 1713
