The official mascot of the Texas A&M University is called "Reveille". The first dog (adopted in 1931) was a mix-breed dog. Here's a picture:

Reveille II - the second official mascot - was a Shetland sheep dog. She died in 1966 of kidney failure.

Reveille III was the first of the Texas A&M mascots to be a pure-bred Rough Collie. She served as a mascot from 1966 through 1975.
