Actually, according to this site, 2 teams have had that 'honor'. The Denver Broncos in 1966 & the New York Giants in 1942.

The Denver Broncos of 1966 were still playing in the AFL. Although a merger agreement with the NFL was reached in June 1966, the leagues still played separately (other than the Super Bowl) until 1970. link https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Football_League
