King Henry II of England died on July 6, 1189. One of his long-term and most famous mistresses was Rosamund Clifford. She died c. 1176, 13 years before the King. I am unable to find the exact date of her death, though July 6 was the date of commemoration of this event.

When her relationship with the king ended, Rosamund retired to Godstow Abbey. She died there around 1176, before the age of 30, and she was buried there. Her death was commemorated at Hereford Cathedral on 6 July, the same day on which Henry II died 13 years after her.
