How do sloths excrete gaseous waste products?

Since sloths only have a bowel movement once every three weeks, they do not expel flatus...at least through the back end! Instead, the sloth's body reabsorbs the intestinal gases, goes through the bloodstream, and comes out of the lungs as an exhalation. So one could say they have fart breath, I suppose. Now their once-every-20-day movement is something else entirely. I wouldn't wish that process on anyone!
