Why do some sloths have a greenish tinge to their fur?

The why is that the combination of the cracks in their fur and the moisture in the air along with the sloth's less-than-active lifestyle, allows for blue-green algae to grow on their fur. This greenish tinge gives the advantage of helping the sloth to be better camouflaged, though what predator would want to eat a pungent sloth is another matter. Quite amazing creatures.
