"The Last Tycoon" was published in 1941 a year after Fitzgerald's death from a heart attack at the age of 44. Unfortunately, the novel was not completed when the author died. Fitzgerald's friend Edmund Wilson finished the novel for him and helped it get published. The book is about the life of a Hollywood studio owner.
