The logo of Kiss (the band) is changed in several countries. Why?

Germany banned Kiss from their country. Their logo has two lightening bolts side by side, which looked very like the Nazi symbol. As a result of this, Kiss has to change their logo when performing in Germany. Members of Kiss stated that the name is just a name they pick because it was simple.
