The aim was to oppose the ownership of houses in Wales by the English.
Meibion Glyndwr, which means "Sons of Glyndwr" in Welsh, was a nationalist group active in Wales during the 1980s and 1990s. Named after Owain Glyndwr, the 15th century Welsh hero who led a revolt against English rule, the movement focused on resisting perceived English dominance in Welsh life, particularly in rural areas.
Their main aim was to protest against the purchase of Welsh houses by Englishmen, which they believed was driving up property prices and threatening the Welsh language and culture. The group gained notoriety for a series of arson attacks on English-owned holiday homes in Wales, aimed at discouraging English people from settling in the area.
