As far as I can find, there doesn't seem to be a well recognised attribution for the origin of the quote (even after throwing the prompt into an AI chatbot, it wouldn't hallucinate an origin story for me). I would guess someone with a hiking/outdoors oriented social media page coined it as an inspirational quote of the day, perhaps overlayed on one of those stock landscape photos, and it's taken off from there.
