Mickey Mouse was called the winner by many, even though technically Walt won.

Note: When, in 1932, Walt Disney won the first of his many Oscars for the creation of Mickey Mouse, the Press tagged Mickey as the "first non-human to win an Oscar."

Note that Mickey did not actually win the award, Walt Disney did. Cartoon characters and animals are not eligible.

It has never actually happened, but an Oscar was awarded to Walt Disney in 1932 for the creation of Mickey Mouse, which is about as close as you will get - a human winning it for creating a cartoon character.

And if you are looking for an animal answer to this question, there are none. They are not eligible.
The truth is that no animal has ever won an Academy Award. They're not eligible.
