In "The Karate Kid" (1984) movie, did Mr. Migie catch a fly with the chopsticks that he was teaching Daniel to do?

He wasn't teaching Daniel to catch flies with chopsticks. He was doing it himself while meditating, and Daniel came in and saw him. Mr. Miagi told Daniel that a man who could catch a fly with chopsticks could do anything, and also that he had never done it. Daniel picked up a pair of chopsticks and started trying himself, and succeeded, to which Mr. Miagi said "Hmph. Beginner's Luck." So, no, Mr. Miagi did not catch a fly with chopsticks, nor had he ever.
