Your "golden birthday" is supposedly the day on which you turn the same age as the day of the month you were born -- i.e., you turn 20 on the 20th of the month.

The notion seems to have been conceived very recently -- one site attributes it to a woman named "Joan Bramsch -- and can only be used to sell cards and gifts:

One's golden birthday, also called a champagne birthday, is the day when the age someone turns is the same as the day in the month he was born. (e.g. someone turning 20 on January 20th celebrates his golden birthday).
