By "original," I'm assuming you mean the Weyl lyrics rather than Gernerth's?

Here they are in English, but since I haven't located a German version, I can't tell you whether the translation is any good at all. (You can also, if you wish, find the Gernerth lyrics in German by going to the Wiki site on the waltz and clicking on a link at the foot of the page.)

Oh. Well, in that case, I'll at least do you a translation of Gernerth's first verse, since it doesn't seem to be available in English online. Mind you, this is a little loose, and I'm no poet when it comes to German translation:

Danube so blue,
Through meadow and dale,
So gently you flow to us.
Your silver ribbon,
Joins land to land,
And happy hearts beat
On your shore

The point of the original verse was that the Danube WASN'T blue! It was a rather tongue in cheek way of pointing out that the Danube was getting dirty, muddy and polluted.

You mean the point of the title for the original, satirical lyrics, since the lyrics themselves don't actually say anything about the Danube! That in itself is amusing.
