I found a site that talked about transport across cell membranes. This is what I know, the red blood cells (RBC's) in a 0.9% salt solution will not change because they neither gain nor lose water (isotonic). I deduce that in a 2.0% solution, the RBC's will shrivel because this is a hypertonic situation. I think in a 0.5% solution the RBC's will burst because the water will rush into the cell (hypotonic). This is what I came up with from googling red blood cell salt solution. Hope this helps.
