Off....thanks, VV The next song is a hauntingly beautiful song from the seventies, the meaning of the title is ironic - I think. Reply #6583. Dec 09 16, 2:47 PM |

Oh no, I wouldn't call that hauntingly beautiful. The song you are looking for was in the top ten in more than ten countries. It also was also featured in more than ten movies and more than ten TV shows. There are more cover version than I care to count. Heck, it even topped the charts in three countries and won three Ivor Novello Awards. Reply #6585. Dec 09 16, 5:12 PM |

Not hauntingly beautiful? You must be over 5 foot 4 inches, then. How about "I'm Not In Love" by 10cc? Reply #6586. Dec 09 16, 5:57 PM |

Sorry, the comments about Short People, which may be one of the most ironic songs ever, were a joke, one which fell a little... short, may we say. I'm thinking of song from the 1930's whose lyrics contain the title of an episode of "Fawlty Towers", as well as a vegetable that George H.W. Bush didn't like, and a drink offered to Fronkensteen in a 1970's movie. Reply #6588. Dec 10 16, 5:39 AM |

No, Your'e the Top for getting it so quickly. "You're the Top" includes references to "Waldorf Salad", which may be my favorite episode of Fawlty Towers, broccoli, and Ovaltine. You're up again! Reply #6590. Dec 10 16, 11:09 AM |

The singer of the group made some at best naive remarks about a symbol and got bashed for that. Reply #6598. Dec 14 16, 10:11 AM |

The singer is the grandson of an actor who was famous for playing traditional British heroes. Reply #6599. Dec 14 16, 3:03 PM |
